I don't think it's impossible if you have an amazing plan, however I was trying to save a certain amount every month and my business was being closed by the company I was working for six months in to being engaged HUGE SURPRISE!!!!!! So just be ready for some bumps, hopefully not as drastic as mine Smiley smile

Well the majority of the money we need to save will come from our tax returns. I just got a raise so all that's going into savings, and I refinanced my condo so the extra from that goes into savings as well. I'm getting anxiety over being able to make it as the months tick by ....

Good luck with that! If you can do it, that's pretty amazing.

It's aggressive! But it's totally possible. Life gets in the way sometimes, but I commend you and say go for it!

I wouldn't take any contributions from my retirement savings or anything......but when you look at daily expenses it's really amazing all the places you can trim fat.

    Go girl!!

It can be done!! I have a similar goal for saving up for a down payment when we buy our house. Good planning goes a long way and maybe you can't save the entire amount but I bet you will be close. good luck!

It's amazing how much you can save when you really set your mind to it. I was blown away at how much we have been able to save-if only I had realized this a long time ago!! Smiley winking Best wishes!

Thanks for the encouragement everyone! Much of it is dependent on how big our tax returns are and how long FH keeps his second job. We've trimmed the fat everywhere we can so it's all about maintenance at this point!

I think it can be done! We are saving $2,000 a month for 10 months which is way more than we need, but i would rather not drain my savings account to 0. Also we are 21 and 23, so we dont make that much money yet and were doing it.

For sure! We are aggressively saving and had a goal of $1000 a month. We have done that and some.
