Save the Dates

Amanda, on July 6, 2019 at 12:43 AM Posted in Planning 0 15
Hi Everyone,
For save the dates, did you put how many guests will be invited for each family? Or that’s only for wedding invites? I’m having family ask so many questions. Overwhelming.

    Following.
But also planning on putting everyone's names on the save the date.
John & Shelly Smith + Kelly & John
That way we have attempted to name everyone on the save the date who is invited.
We aren't giving out plus ones, we cant fit them, but if we were, itd give my finances cousins time to find some ladies.

I am Doing it for the invites only. I had a bunch of family confuse the save the dates for invitations and they were asking questions. I politely Told them that it was a save the date not invitation and that the invitation would have more information.

What I did was for children under 18, I would list their parent’s names and then the child’s name under. If there was a family in a household with children over 18, they would just get, “The (insert last name) family”. When invitations go out, I’ll probably address it the same way but include blank of (total # of guests invited). And they fill out the blank. Hope that made sense!

I addressed my save the dates the same as I will address my invites. So if we were inviting the whole family we labeled them Smith Family and if we were just inviting the couple, we labeled it Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

I did not put that in my save the dates, waiting for the invites (which will be sent at the end of this month)

We are doing individual names on all wedding mailings so there is no confusion on who’s actually invited.

You just put Mr and Mrs Smith + family. That means husband, wife & kids. Pretty sure everyone knows that. when you send the invite you say Mr & Mrs Smith + how many children. We did our invites online through Zola so we were able to give them how many children they have /itemize it. Then all they had to do was put the name of the child on each line.

I finished our list before sending out, and just put the names of those invited. We are doing 18+ so I didn't want there to be confusion surrounding the many, many teenage/pre-teen cousins in my family.

We will be listing all of the names on the envelope so that there is no confusion on whos invited. Its better to list all the names right away on the save the dates so they dont ask questions as the planning goes on

We just addressed them to invited guests only. For example some aunts and uncles were invited but not all of their adult children. So not "The Lopez Family" but instead "Paul and Joann Lopez." (random names. no one i know lol)
