RSVP Question

Is their new last name B? Maybe they were super confused about what M means...?

Happy saw this! I was looking at RSVP cards and saw M and wasn't sure why it was there haha

When we got back my sister's RSVPs there was one 20 something guy who didn't really know what the M was for, and his name started with an M, so on the line he wrote ORGAN to match the M. That's still my favorite response card she got and I remember it 12 years later...

as for the "B" - I've got nothing....

What the hell is B? Yeah there's something wrong with that, I don't know if it's a typo because I'm assuming they proofed their invites or if they made them would notice. Maybe we're all just missing something. Curious to know though.

Weird. Probably they're last name. It should have been an "M".

I don't know what the B could mean, but I know like 90% of the time people assume the M is supposed to be for the beginning of Mr./Mrs./Miss/Ms. When it's actually a shortening of the French word M'appelle, which translates to "name". This makes sense when you consider RSVP is shorthand for "Respondez s'il vous plait" which means "Please respond."

When I was designing my invites I didn't know what the M was for so I changed it to what will be our last name Z, lol.

Slightly related. Got my cousin's invitation recently. She included two RSVP cards because she invited me & DH. I was a rebel & only returned one card with both names. (Don't know her guest list, but think of all that wasted money.)

I wouldn't ask. It sounds like they did make a mistake and probably a lot of people are noticing and they're probably embarrassed as it is when people point it out or ask. You get the idea - put your name there I think and send it back!

Hmm that's a good one... I actually put my phone down to look at my laptop keys. Yep, B is on the same row as M.. Although I don't see how that kind of mistake could happen when B is a left hand key stroke. Anyway, I think it's a typo. I'd write Beloved SciAmoor :-). Don't ask unless you're close to them but if they mention it later by chance, please come back and tell us lol. I'm dying to know too.
