We met during youth group at Church of Christ I had been going to. His friend Andrew brought him there and I saw Jeremiah and had that magical feeling, the feeling that we were meant for each other and he was the one. But I was dating someone else and he was in a relationship as well. So we just talked whenever Andrew brought him along. Then on Superbowl 2013, I found out he was no longer taken and I myself was free. I was going to give him my number but he left before I could. So I asked a mutual friend to give him my number. We texted for about a week or two before we decided to hang out at my house on Saturday February 9th 2013. We decided to date and I had my first kiss with him. He had asked for my parents permission to marry me weeks he proposed to me, he took us all out to Red Robin and when I had gone to wash my hands he asked my parents. Basically, they didn't care as long as I was happy. :) So May 9th 2016 Jeremiah proposed to me. We had also been together for 3 years and 3 months. :) It wasn't planned at all he said. :) Every 9th of the month or around it we try to do a date night together. So we went to Longhorn for dinner and the song Why Wait by Rascal Flatts came on. I didn't think much of it, it was a good song but for him it had more significant meaning in that moment (Which of course after he proposed the song now means so much more to me!). So he asked me if I wanted my surprise now or later. Because before Red Robin he said he wanted to talk to my dad about something, I asked what and he said a surprise for my mom and me. He had been alternating between surprise for me, for my mom and both of us. I had a feeling he would propose but I also didn't want to get my hopes up either. When he asked the question, I said now. He asked for my hand and asked me to marry him. I of course said yes! We both were crying
