Rosacea and wedding makeup

Miss Michal, on February 1, 2011 at 9:41 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

When I do my makeup on a regular day, it's gone by lunchtime and my face is bright red with rosacea. How can I be sure my makeup is going to stay on for the Big Day?

Could you go to your dermatologist and get the rosacea treated?? Typically it is just a cream you apply at night and it clears up in a week or two.

Good question! I have rosacea as well and this is a big worry. Lately mine seems to be getting worse! Argh! I normally use Bare Escentials with their primer but I'm afraid that might not make it through the day.

You definitely want to see a dermatologist about this. Typically, they will give you a gel or cream to apply. They may also give you antibiotics in the beginning.

Also, if you still have redness at the time of the wedding, you can use make-up with green undertones to counteract it.

There is a great European product to reduce Rosacea-caused redness: Calming Capsules by Dr. Grandel: http://forprincessbride.com/store/product618.html. For every day coverage, there is nothing like dry Dual Foundation which totally "cancels" the redness: http://forprincessbride.com/store/product557.html. @Jackie B.: yes, Model in a Bottle is "a must" on the wedding day, to make everything stay put for hours! http://forprincessbride.com/store/product2.html.
