Really?? You're bringing your sister as your 1??

Dr. & Mrs. R, on May 27, 2015 at 11:23 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11

The girl doing our cupcakes (who I am not fond of) is bringing her sister as her 1... Her sister crashed my bachelorette party too. We know her sister socially but not someone we hang out with regularly... Just odd to me.

If you gave her a plus one, she can bring whoever she wants...maybe she's single and just likes her sister more than anyone else? It doesn't seem weird to me...I know several people who are best friends with their sisters.

Its a plus one. If she wants to bring her sister, that's her call.

Did you give her a plus one? I don't really see the problem with it unless you and the sister have some sort of bad history.

I have been my sister's plus one before. She had just started seeing someone new and it wasn't serious enough to agree to bring him, so I was the logical choice. He couldn't be awkward about it and she didn't have to actually have the "Where is this going" convo with him before she was ready. Plus me and her like to get down at weddings Smiley smile

You gave her a plus one and you complain about who she's inviting? If you didn't address it to anyone specifically, I think she has the right to bring who she wants. Plus, she's making your cupcakes, be grateful.

Yeah I don't understand this. Either it was her sister, or I have a feeling you were going to bitch that she was bringing some "random guy" you don't even know to your wedding.

Yea if they get a plus 1, you don't really have a say in that. Sorry

Both of my sisters brought a friend as their plus one. I'm not too fond of the girl one of my sisters brought but hey, I barely had to interact with her through the night. Not really that weird.

If you gave her a plus 1 and she's bringing a plus 1. Now, if you addressed it to friend & husband, then no she's being rude. But if it's an open plus 1... I don't get it?
