Question....How do you pee with a ballgown?

Melissa, on January 15, 2010 at 11:45 AM Posted in Planning 0 19

Seriously, think about it. Do you bring 5 attendants with you to go to the bathroom to hold it up? Do you bunch it up in a ball in front of you? How if the bathroom is a tiny stall?

Seriously, I am thinking about not drinking ANYTHING that day!

You get your closest friend to make your bathroom travels with you, but remember...your time will come to do the same.

I was worried about that before my wedding and had a plan with my MOH, but I was having so much fun and so busy that I didn't go to the bathroom at all after I put the dress on! Good luck!!

You MUST keep yourself hydrated or you are asking for problems. You can cut back some on fluid intake but I would definately eat and have something that you can sip on throughout the day. Even if you just keep a glass of ice chips handy. A dear friend of mine didn't eat or drink anything on her wedding day for fear of messing up her dress and she left the reception in an ambulance...granted, as a diabetic, she should have known better but the possibilities are there for health disasters.

There was a post on here a month ago, I think someone above linked it. You can go by yourself. You actually lift the front of your dress and you face the back of the toilet. That way the back of you dress is still on the ground. You just have to make sure the floor in the bathroom is clean.

Yeah zephyr (whos now married!) posted a good idea on that other thread. she said to lift up the front of your dress as much as you can, and kinda sit on the toilet backwards

Best way is to walk to the toilet, face the opposite way we normally would, like a guy, and squat Smiley smile LOL Honest! Like everyone said, there is a post about it Smiley smile Just hold the front of your gown up.

Funny - but necessary question! Handicapped stall & bridesmaids to hold the dress! Go before you silp on the dress, too!

While i agree with PP about facing backwards... the best thing is to actually SIT on the toilet, not squat... squatting leaves more room for unnecessary.. ummm "splatter"...

I was actually watching the Tyra show and even though it may seem gross the best thing they said to do in dirty bathrooms was to just sit on the toilet b/c when you stand the dirty gross bathroom water can splash all over you, which in the end has worse results germ-wise than just sitting on the toilet... fun fact
