PSA: Peeing while wearing the dress

2d Bride, on September 16, 2009 at 12:10 AM Posted in Planning 0 36

Because this seems to be a topic that has several people hitting the panic button, here is how to pee while wearing your wedding dress. Because this exceeds the maximum character limit, it will be in two parts.

On arrival at your venue

* Open the door of the ladies' room and look in. If the floor is not clean, call the venue staff and ask to have it cleaned.

* If the floor is clean, walk into the ladies' room and open the door of the handicapped stall. If the floor of the handicapped stall is not clean, call the venue staff and ask to have it cleaned.

This ensures that you will not later get the train/back of the dress dirty just by having it touch the floor.

    When you need to go:

    * Walk into the handicapped stall. Remove (don't just pull down) your underpants.

    * Facing the toilet, pull up the front of your dress to your waist.

    * Walk straight forward, so you are straddling the toilet, and sit down that way. The train/back of your dress will now be away from the toilet, so you won't get them wet or dirty.

    * Lean forward before peeing. That way, even if you drop the front of the dress onto the seat, you will not pee in its direction.

You may now resume your panic about all the other topics for your wedding day.

You know that's a great technique. And you know I'm going to have to practice. I hope no one walks in on me straddling the toilet.

Lmao.. I'm totally visualizing and giggling, yet totally agreeing on this. I'm totally going reverse cowgirl on the toilet that day... AND having MOH backup outside the door in case of a "oops I can't get my panties back on" moment happens. (plus.. I'm going with WOW... practice is key!)

The other thing is...if the floor is dirty in the stall, place tissue seat covers all around it. i'm thinking that is what i will do.

LMAO! All i can picture is me at my best friends wedding where I was her MOH and the "entourage" of girls we had with us every time she had to pee! Three of us holding her dress up, etc.! This "method" is much better and much more private! You can bet this is how I'll be "going!" Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the tip. I would have never thought of that and this seems a lot easier than what I was thinking on doing.

I can attest to the straddling the toilet backwards works. I still had my ex-husband holding the back of the dress because I didn't want it to touch the toilet bowl. I just handled the front of the dress.

You know, i didnt go to the bathroom at all once i put my dress on untill after my husband helped me take it off at the end of the night. all the excitment and everything used up all my fluids i guess lol. but that isnt the case with all brides. luckly it was for me, and i guess all the dancing helped me sweat out all the water i was drinking.
