Purple and ????? for my August wedding. Help!

Thinking purple and orange. Any better ideas? Orange bouquets with splashes of purple to match David Bridal's Lapis color bridesmade dresses.... What do you think?

I actually thought orange as soon as I read "August" and "Purple". You're on the edge of summer, so it's a nice blend. Personally, I'd go with a warmer purple (not so blue, not so bright) and maybe a deeper orange like pumpkin, with perhaps perle or silver or something to break it up? But then, that's just me It all depends on what YOU like.

Mi wedding is in august as well and my colors are lavender,plum and silver . I heard purple is a very popular color this year especially in august.

We are doing a county chic wedding so I wanted my colors to look like something you would be able to go out and find in a field so with that said my colors are DB wisteria and DB champagne. There are hints of pink and green also thrown in there but all in all it looks like I went out in the fields and picked my flowers.
