Our story is going to be a fun one to tell our children someday........ Drew and I met on Eharmony. Both my mom and his mom had put us up to it (funny thing is both of them are single) after we had both been through numerous crappy relationships! We were matched in October 2010 (we both had been on the site for a little over a month at this time). His first attempt at contact was on Oct 10, 2010; however, he wanted to skip the first 3 steps that they have in place and go straight to open communication; I denied his request. To me, these steps were put into place for a reason and I wanted to utlize them. Drew's second attempt at contact was on Oct 22,2010 where he decided to start with step one LOL. We went through the steps fairly quickly and we appeared to have a lot in common so on Nov 10, 2010 I accepted his request to go to open communication. We communicated daily. On Nov 17,2010 we both emailed that we were having rough work weeks and were going out for a few cocktails with friends (little did we know, that the friend he was meeting up with was also meeting up with me and my friends). When I walked into the bar I saw one of my friends sitting with a guy that looked familiar, but I was unsure who he was. My friend Leo introduced me to his friend as Drew. I said hi and went on to say hi to the rest of my friends. Later that evening we began talking and it became clear to me that Drew was Andrew (the guy from Eharmony)! We began talking the rest of the night, and both stayed out much later than intended on a work night LOL! That night we kissed goodbye and made plans to hang out again. At first the relationship was tough for me....this is going to sound silly, but he was the first guy I had ever dated that everyone liked (my friends, family, etc) and that scared me. It was different and I didnt know if what I was feeling were my feelings or if I was feeling pressured to like him. At the end of the year 2010 we decided to end things. 3 weeks later, we began talking again and made plans to hang out (I initiated LOL), and its never stopped since.....its funny how we had yet to exchange phone numbers or meet in person, but that night we met and now we are engaged!! I think there is a reason we met, and I think our story is one of fate....
