I am getting married the day before you!! I was thinking about using pumpkins as centerpieces just to make things easy but I'm not sure how they would work with my colors. I'm going with gray/silver and a dark purple (Lapis from DB possibly).

My wedding is October 17th 1 week before Halloween this year. AND we are getting married 15 minutes away from the Halloween capital of the world ... Salem, Massachusetts. Not that I planned it that way .. in fact, it has been more of a hindrance trying to get hotels in the area. No matter ... my colors are deep brown, deep reds, and ivory. I am currently looking at white pumpkins.

We are getting married in Salem in October. I grew up there so it makes sense, kind of. I prob should have known better with the traffic and all, but I love the craziness and hope my guests will too!

We are doing Ivory/ sparkly and plum pumpkins for out centerpieces. Our colors are plum, ivory and silver.

I actually have a question for all the pumpkin ladies, are you planning on only using real? Or are you using fake? If fake where did you get them?

That's awesome! I was thinking about doing this with white pumpkins! And possibly painting a couple of them half gold. I know Martha Stewart has some ideas of cutting a hole where the stem goes on top to put either votive candles or taper candles.

I love the pumpkin decor! We were going to do something like that but decided against it because our wedding is in September and it seemed more of a October thing. I love fall and specifically wanted to get married in fall because of the beautiful colors.

Your color scheme has a lot of pinkish color. I would add some red and deep purple to complement the pumpkins and fall scheme.

I think it can be done tastefully, but don't go over board. Like I would either choose the place card holders and have a different centerpiece, or do the third picture of the flowers as the centerpieces and not the placecard holders. I also would scatter in some white and maybe painted (gold?) pumpkins.

Those pictures are just there to visualize the colors, but the pink color is only an accent color. It will not be as pronounced as the plum and orange. I am going to use a mixture of orange, white, and gold-painted pumpkins in various sizes, my tablecloths will be plum. I think the pink color may only be incorporated in the flowers and napkins.

Or I can have half of the tables with plum tablecloths with pumpkin decor and half with pink tablecloths with traditional flower centerpieces? Just so many options! But the main thing I was thinking is that if I use pumpkins, that cuts down on having to use as many flowers.

More Ideas! I like the planter boxes for long tables! Also good fall decor for home.
