I am going to incorporate pumpkins for my October wedding, since orange is actually one of my colors. I want an elegant look without going overboard and looking like a pumpkin fest. I won't be carving the pumpkins in hope to avoid a Halloween vibe. Here are some pics of my ideas. My colors are...

Im not sure if you were looking for opinions or not, but here is mine:

I think if the pumpkins are white or the gold spray painted they look more wedding, and less Halloween/harvest party. How can always bring your colors into the boxes or flowers or tablecloths.

I was in Hobby Lobby today and they were already putting out a lot of fall decor including an entire aisle of pumpkins for crafting.

I actually am doing a themed wedding, my theme is happily ever after, its a play on towards Cinderella, my colors are blue, purple and ivory. sort of like Cinderella's dress in the newer film. Then I am thinking maybe decorate the pumpkins like a white pumpkin carriage, or carve it with our initials or draw on it with glitter paint.

Thanks, but I will incorporate SOME orange pumpkins. I think I can keep it modest to not go overboard.

Just my opinion - I would do all the table the same with pumpkins instead of alternating. I think it all sounds beautiful!

I am getting married ON Halloween (not by choice, exactly), so I have given much thought to incorporating pumpkins into the decor -- and so I love this thread!

I think using small gourds can help keep things on the "decoration" end of the spectrum (vs. Halloween), as well as being careful/tasteful in how any larger pumpkins are carved.

Love the carved pumpkin as a cooler! Although, for all the booze I plan to have at my wedding, we'd need a whole pumpkin patch!
