Postponing? Ceremony Only? or cancel altogether?

Rosilus, on March 24, 2020 at 12:25 AM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 3

Hello ladies I know this is kinda early but i am getting married in NJ on July 11 2020. Due to my guest count (10) plus vendors (3). I was considering just doing the ceremony in the park and having the reception at a later date with my guests. The ceremony will consist of me, my fiance, and the officiant only along with photographer and videographer. I dont think my guest would have a issue with this due to the safety and health concerns for us all. Tell me is there any of you planning your wedding the same way? How many of you is postponing everything?

I'm getting married in June. I'm still hopeful that all will settle down by then.
I'm not changing a thing until I'm positive that I have to.
Still alot can change between now and then, if people follow guidelines and stay home.
I'm also hopeful that warmer weather will have a play in the slow down of the virus.
Try not to worry in advance.❤

Hi Rosilus! Across the board it sounds like July couples are understandably anxious, but keeping their original plans and watching and waiting for now. Proactively reviewing vendor contracts and thinking about what plan B could look like has also been helpful for personal peace of mind!

FYI - We've started gathering initial resources in our COVID-19 Wedding Support Central, and I've also seen a lot of July brides connecting in this discussion: July 2020 Weddings!
