Plus sized brides - show off your dress!

Mine (size 18).

I'm a size 14 and my dress was a 16 and I felt amazing. It was an Oleg Cassini from Davids Bridal. I agree with the other ladies. Its all about how you feel in it. Everyone can look amazing in a wedding gown, they just have to find the right one!

I'm a size 16 too and I just bought my dress. I've been having weight issues lately too (especially bloating) but I love the way I look in my dress!

Ok, girls. FIRST-you all look STUNNING! Second, to all of your girls posting that you are a 14, 16, 18, 20...if you are, then I'm a size 0 (and that, I am not!) Makes me wonder what size wedding dress I'm going to be...because there is no way that you are those sizes.

What is a real bride and what is a plus bride? I see a group of fabulous women with curves. At 50, one learns to love yourself and embrace your inner or outer curves from size 0 or size 24.

Here's mine! I ordered a size 16 and it had to be taken WAY out... like all the way. It's probably closer to an 18 now - which is what the sales person should have ordered... Wedding dress sizes are retarded... I'm a size 13 jean in juniors.

@Carole M (a.k.a "old tart"): Can I be both a real bride and a plus-sized bride? I think I'm real, regardless of size.

Oh, and FWIW, I'm an 18 in regular clothing. My size 18 wedding dress still had to be taken out in the bodice to fit me.

@2D....Absolutely! Hence, the reason, as a plus bride(I loathe those words btw.), I asked the question. As I stated, all I see here is a group of wonderful curves.

Re wedding and non wedding sizing.....just pretty darn stupid. : )

On a side note am I the only one who thinks that the plus sized models always look happier and better in the dresses than the super skinny unhappy looking ones(who are frequently making weird faces)?

Maggie runs pretty true to size. I wear 14 jeans, and my dress is a 14. Most wedding dress makers do have messed up sizes, however, enough to give a bride a complex!

Definitely bigger then a 16 but felt amazingly beautiful on my wedding day.

I just want to say that every bride here is beautiful! I don't care what size you are or what size your wedding dress is. Size is just a number. Don't let it define you. You all are stunning no matter what!!

I dont have a picture of me in my dress, but this is the sample dress--only 3 sizes too small but still in love with it and my plus-sized-ness! And I did enjoy saying I could fit into a size 16, couldnt breathe very well however...

Here is mine, it was a size 16 but needed taken in around the bust.

Here is the dress i selected, the sample is so small, i ordered a 20. hoping it'll be taken in a bit..im a size 14 or 16 street. i think a lot of dresses are not made for the apple shaped bodies....

Everyone looks amazing! I feel that way at times also, yet I have to tell myself that I am a DIVA and I will rock ut whatever I wear on my day! It's all about your attitude and your accessories. (Mine will be spanxx) :-)

I am size 22 and I love my dress!! I need to get alterations done so it doesn't fall down but I love it! I am not losing weight because my fh loves me the way I am. Why change that for one day? I'm sure you're going to look gorgeous!! Just because we aren't a size 5 doesn't mean we aren't beautiful!!
