I'm wearing my mom's as my something borrowed and old... I don't care about any superstition. My mom means the world to me and I love honoring her in this way!

I wore pearls.. my grandma gave me pearl earrings and necklace years ago and she passed away 6 months before the wedding. I wore them to honor her and it went with my dress.
I'm wearing my grandmothers pearls. She passed away when I was 7 and was an avid pearl collector. I'm also getting all my bridesmaids pearls to wear (or not) for the wedding. Also, we're getting married and June and pearl is the birthstone of June. Our wedding is like the birth of our family and us together, so I thought pearls were double fitting.
I'm wearing the pearls my godmother bought me for my 18th birthday. I also bought pearl braclettes for my bridesmaids. Additionally my parents 30th anniversary is a few days before our wedding and pearls are the traditionally anniversary gift for 30 years, so it works out perfectly
Apparently wearing pearls on your wedding day is bad luck. But if it rains, maybe that'll cancel it out!! Lol just kidding- if you don't believe in that stuff, wear what you love and feel beautiful in!
I'd never heard the superstition before. I wore pearls - FIL offered me late MIL's pearls and I wore them proudly. And we're still doing pretty good, so I don't think they're bad luck
