Pearls on wedding day!

I've never heard that superstition. I feel like I may be going a little overboard on pearls-my dress has pearl buttons down the back, the belt I'm adding has pearls and crystals, I may have pearls and crystals added to the edge of my veil, and I'll be swapping it out with a pearl and crystal comb for the reception, and then I'm probably going to wear pearl earrings.

I've never heard of that, I've actually heard of a lot of people using pearls as the theme of their wedding and decorating with them. I plan on wearing them too. They're timeless!

Never heard of it either. I'm wearing my grandmas pearl necklace. My mom wore it for her and my dad's wedding and they've been married 33 years so the luck must not be too bad

So there is some superstition behind pearls on your wedding day. Pearls worn on the wedding day represent the brides tears. Some cultures see them as bad and some see them as good.

The cultures that see them as bad, see the pearls as future tears the bride will shed during an unhappy marriage. The cultures that see them as good, predicts that the pearls will take the place of real tears, so she will never have to cry during her happy marriage.

I do plan to wear pearls on my wedding day.

I have a beautiful set of pearls I will be wearing on my wedding day. They were a gift from my Grandmother before she passed.

Never heard of a superstition about pearls. But, I'll be wearing pearls. FMIL offered me to wear a pearl necklace she has which will be my something borrowed. Pearls are my favorite (love them more than diamonds)

I haven't heard of that superstition. I was planning on just wearing a silver necklace, but FMIL bought me a pearl necklace so I've decided to use it as my something new. My sister/MOH gave me pearl earrings as a gift when I was her MOH, so I'll be wearing those as well. I was named after my late grandmother, whose name was Margaret, which means pearl. This is kind of a nod to her as well.

I wasn't planning on wearing pearls but now FH's mom offered me hers and I might to because I feel bad turning her down. I do think it is a very classic bridal look
