Paper options? Invite/thank you cards

Sara, on September 29, 2019 at 3:55 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 3

Hi all, I ordered my invites from Ann's Bridal Bargains and was overall very happy with them. We are now post-wedding and ordering thank you cards, which will have photos on them (see comments for the draft, still unsure if the photos are good selections / show my husbands face enough). I'm wondering if this time we should upgrade from regular paper, and instead choose heavy matte, textured paper, or shimmer paper because there will be photos. Thoughts?

I personally would’ve upgraded your paper for your invites, but I wouldn’t spend the extra money to upgrade the paper for Thank You cards. If you’re having photos on the card, I’d probably stay away from the shimmer and the textured papers as it would likely distort the photos.

Hey Sara!! Your Thank You cards look great, if you and your husband are happy with this photo selection, then it's perfect! You looked really beautiful on your wedding day!

I would also go for standard matte paper as texture or shimmer might make your photos look different or distort them.
