Over or Under: Average Wedding Budget?

No including honeymoon or rings...we are approching 30k. Way more than we wanted but it's doable.

As NYC residents who have extremely large families and a guest list over 200 people, our budget is $30k. Which is very low for an NYC wedding in Brooklyn.

We're just a little bit over.

Oh my gosh, way under, we're hoping to stay around 10k. Maybe 12k but i don't really want to go more than that lol ... We shall see....

Under we figure a 5k-7k budget and so far we are well under not even at 2k yet and have got about 1/4 of the list done including the big items like the vendors.

Definitely over. We live in NY and we'll be having roughly 250 people. That would've been a great figure though lol

We'll be right around there. Hopefully a bit under because with our honeymoon that's going to be about 6k, we're currently looking at 33k. So hopefully it stops growing.

OVER! I originally thought I could have a $20k wedding based on what other people spent, but then I realized that those weddings were cheap for a reason lol. My wedding is going to be elegant and classy. It’s going to cost around $35k for our California wedding

Definitely under!! We are looking at it being about $10,000! More than I want to spend honestly, and I have to convince myself not to elope since we have already invested so much time and energy to this whole thing!

Hi Iva! We picked a venue in Poughkeepsie NY, so a little bit upstate. FH and I are from the Hudson Valley NY, so it made sense to have the wedding up there by our immediate families, even though we live in Brooklyn. There are gorgeous venues in NYC, but they're crazy expensive!! If you haven't already locked down your venue, I'd recommend considering venues that are a short trip up the MetroNorth

We looked into Lyndhurst Castle in Terrytown, but that was almost as expensive as our NYC venue that we love. We have a reservation hold on our NYC venue, but if you don’t mind can you share some venues you looked at or know of in the area? Our taste is contemporary but I love georgeous outdoor spaces as well.
