My fiance and I had to push our big wedding celebration from 2021 to 2022. However, we are still hoping to get married in a small microceremony in May 2021 with just our best man, best woman, and close family (parents, grandparents, siblings). Thankfully by then parents and grandparents will have been vaccinated.
We are hoping for a small outdoor ceremony, preferably in the redwoods, anywhere from an hour south of San Jose to an hour south of L.A. (We've been looking at state parks in Santa Cruz and Big Sur, mostly.) However, I know state regulations mean that a lot of parks are not issuing special use permits to have a small outdoor, masked and distanced ceremony, even if it is only 20 people max.
We don't really have the budget to spend on a private venue because it's hard to stretch our big celebration budget much further, nor do we have any family who can host us in their backyard. Does anyone have suggestions for an inexpensive, outdoor redwood wedding either on the Central Coast or in SoCal for May 2021?
