NWR does FH tuck you in?

Hayley, on June 13, 2014 at 3:16 AM Posted in Married Life 0 37

FH and I do not live together, but are together most evenings after work. I have developed a theory. Most nights he is at my place until I fall asleep and he always "tucks me in". He says good night, sweet dreams, kisses me, and turns out the light. That kind of stuff. On the nights he does not do that I never sleep well. I'm convinced they are related.

Do you and FH or DH have a bed time routine? If you don't do it, does it make a difference?

We don't have a bedtime routine but he gets up for work an hour earlier than I do and he also kisses me before he leaves for work. I am pretty used to waking up to say "bye, I love you" and then going back to sleep for an hour.

We don't have a bedtime routine, but we never go to sleep without a kiss and we never leave out without kissing each other.

Yup my FH usually tucks me in unless he's busy with something then he gives me a hug and a kiss and then joins me later and when he does I usually mutter something like "I love you". But I do fall asleep better when he comes to tuck me in and sometimes that is some of the best bonding between us!

I get kisses goodbye/goodnight every night. I sleep so much better with him here though, I will admit I have terrible nightmares and the cats snuggle me, they make me feel more comfortable but when he's here I

Tend not to wake to them.

Like last night I guess I had one. I don't remember it. but I woke up and he was sleeping on the floor. He's never slept on the floor in the 2.5 years weve been together buttttttt I'm thinking I was moving around a lot. They get terrible when I'm stressed (and yesterday was a horrible day at work) and something about him usually just makes it all go away.

Also if he's not home I text him goodnight and I literally cannot fall asleep until I get that text. I will roll around for an hour until I see the goodnight I love you text. And he's texts me before he goes to bed if I'm at work.

We take turns doing the "tucking" since I work different schedule than FH. Sometimes we play fight on who is going to do the tucking haha Smiley smile

I work an insanely early morning schedule, so FH comes in every night, cuddles me, tucks me in, turns off the light. I also have a wicked hard time sleeping if he hasn't tucked me in.

FH tucks me in every night. He brings me my water bottle, sets my alarm and then sets out the cat bowls and food so its easy for me in the morning. Then he makes coffee so it's hot and ready when I wake up.

FH and I don't live together yet, either but our houses are 3 houses apart. He works 2nd shift, so I only get to spend the night with him Saturday, Sunday and Monday. He doesn't necessarily always tuck me in, but I do sleep better when we share a bed and go to sleep at the same time.

    OK that's adorable.

We go to bed together but he normally gets up and goes to the couch to sleep (he had neck surgery last fall and the bed just isn't comfortable to him). We go to bed in the same position every night. I'm not sure how well I could fall asleep without him.

Yep Smiley smile He does it every single night. And he's really fussy about the covers being just so, so it turns into a production lol But we always snuggle and whoever had a harder day usually ends up being the "little spoon" and gets cuddled on. FH's workplace is horrible, so I usually end up cuddling him and I sing him to sleep a lot. Not lullubys, but soft old jazz songs Smiley smile

Yep, FH used to tuck me in before we were married and living together. And I definitely sleep better now, next to him! Even the day I stayed home from work because I was sick, being in the bed was not the same without him.

Now, we go to bed together and wake up together. I spend the first 30 minutes getting ready while he cooks his eggs and eats them, reads his sports news and makes my oatmeal. At 6:30am we sit down together, I eat my oatmeal while he reads his daily devotional to me, then I read mine to him! I enjoy having that 30 minutes in the morning together. It makes the rest of the day seem easier.

In our home, whoever goes to bed earlier gets tucked in.

We go to bed together every night. We don't tuck each other in, but just after we shut off the light we kiss each other and say good night. If he's gone for a night I don't sleep well.

Lol. i never thought about it, but now that you mention it... FH does "tuck me in." if he's not going to bed at the same time as me, anyways. haha.

FH is gone for weeks for work, and when he's home it's because he's not working. usually. so when he's home, he rarely goes to bed at the same time as me because i actually have to be up early to go to work. so, when i go to bed, if he's playing games on his computer or something, he'll get up and come lay down with me in bed and talk to me for a minute, say and kiss me goodnight and go back to his computer in the other room. i always find it really sweet.

this time he's home he's actually been working in the corporate office so he's been going to bed at the same time as me because we have to be up at the same time. we always kiss and say goodnight to each other though. even if we are going to bed at the same time.

We always go to bed at the same time so unless I reach over and tuck his side of the blanket in and vice versa there is no tucking. But he gets up before me every morning. So when he gets out of bed he makes sure I am completely covered in the blanket before he leaves the room. And when he leaves for work he comes in and gives me kisses and says good-bye. Smiley smile

But I gotta say if he is not in bed with me now, I can't fall asleep. Takes me HOURS to fall asleep. When he is in bed with me, maybe 10 minutes and I am out.

I haven't been tucked in since 1970 something. He snores so he has his own room. Otherwise it's like sleeping next to a Harley that's been Frankensteined with a MAC truck.

He has a crazy schedule and we rarely go to bed at the same time. We say, "night" and whoever goes to bed. We even sleep in separate rooms. The nights he works, I'll send him a "good night" text.

Sorry, I'm way too independent for that. Lol. That's your thing, but not me. We sleep in the same bed and kind of have a routine, but it's not something that causes me to not sleep.
