NWR does FH tuck you in?

FH and I do not live together, but are together most evenings after work. I have developed a theory. Most nights he is at my place until I fall asleep and he always "tucks me in". Do you and FH or DH have a bed time routine? If you don't do it, does it make a difference?

FH definitely "tucks me in". He says "Good night, sweet dreams, sleep well, I look forward to waking up next to you in the morning". If he doesn't say it I have a hard time falling/staying asleep. Even though I am out of work, I usually get up in the morning with him. I make his lunch while he is in the shower and we have a "good bye ritual" as well. However, if I sleep in, he will kiss me good bye. In the winter he would tuck the blankets around me if he got out of bed (we like to keep the room cool to sleep in and he didn't want cold air getting in). He really is very considerate of me!

Yes! I thought it was weird at first, but I kind of like it. He's a night owl and I'm a morning person, so I'm always in bed first. He tucks me in, kisses me good night, and I go to sleep. And then since I'm awake first, I make him coffee and bring it to him when he gets up.

I love reading all these! I think it's so cute that every couple has there own thing.

Ha Crystal you made me laugh! I know lots of people who can't sleep in the same room as their spouse for the same reason.

If I'm sick or don't feel good, he does. If we don't sleep in the same bed, neither of us can get a good nights rest. I always love when we spend the night together, because I'm going to wake up refreshed.

I always get a kiss goodnight, other than that - there's not really any "tucking in". I sleep better with him next to me, but I still sleep fine without him. I do get a kiss goodbye every morning too though.

If we don't go to bed at the same time, he tucks me in. Kisses my forehead, pulls the blankets up to my chin, tells me to have "pretty dreams", and turns out the light. Then I lay there awake until he comes to bed. Once he's next to me I can sleep. Most nights we go to bed at the same time so I don't toss and turn. :-)

Fh and I have lived together for 13 years and I climb into bed first around 11:30 pm he gets home usually around 1am or 3am depends on the night and he snuggles up next to me then we make a twisted mess out of our legs and feet. I can't sleep good until he is next to me. It is so hard when he is gone for weeks at a time.

We have a routine. We live together and we always cuddle and talk until one of us falls asleep then we separate and put a pillow between us (FH is super restless so he does this so he doesn't kick me or smack me, which ocassionally still happens lol). After that we hold hands over the pillow and say our goodnights always in the same way one line at time: "Love you. All heart. Forever and ever. Sleep well, sweet dreams. Goodnight. Love you." Then one final squeeze of the hand and we go to sleep. He's out of town a lot for work now so I'll still call him before bed so we can say our goodnight, but I really hate having to skip the cuddling because 1) it helps to warm me up 2) it's comforting after a long day and 3) I feel safer when he is home even though I have a bird who will chirp if anyone tried to break in and 2 big dogs. I just leave the TV on a sleep timer on the soundscapes channel on the days he's gone.

No. With our work schedules we sleep apart more often then we sleep together. For example, he is currently working nights so he is sleeping right now.

We live together and we have a routine of saying good night and I love you with kisses between each sentence. Neither of us sleep well without it. This started when we were long distance and would say good night over the phone.

Sometimes he does. Whenever I fall asleep on the couch he always carried me to bed.

YES! YES, my husband does tuck me in, and he has for a long time. He acts like he doesn't like it, but if he goes to bed before me, you best believe the first thing out of his mouth is, "you have to tuck me in." It's just something endearing that we do. I just think it's sweet, and I think it started when I was really sick a few years ago. He'd do it anytime I took a nap. I love it. I think it's adorable.

He doesn't tuck me in, but after dinner we settle down in the living room to watch some TV before bed. About an hour before bed time, I'll lay down on the couch and the puppy hops up and curls up with me while I use him as a pillow. Often times I'll fall asleep like this, then he'll wake me up when it's time to go to bed. I love our family snuggle times.

Snuggle time every night before we fall asleep. Its more important to me than him. But he doesn't complain! :-)

We sort of have a routine, but not really. We usually stay up and watch television together and when we can't stay awake anymore or he's ready to sleep and I'm already knocked out on the couch, he will wake me up or bring me to bed. Then we just talk a little bit and laugh for a while about whatever and fall asleep. He doesn't "tuck me in" but normally he will flip the blankets over me so I have them or make sure I have enough pillows.

I was without him for two weeks while I was on vacation and it was difficult to sleep without him. I felt weird, but I was able to sleep but it took me a couple or few hours longer than normal to finally fall asleep.

We always go to bed together, shut off all the electronics and chat for like 15-20 minutes until someone gives up that they're tired, and then we shut off the light, cuddle, and fall asleep. But no tucking in, since we always end up going to bed at the same time.

Nope. If one of us goes to sleep first (which is typically me), I tell him good night, I love you, and we kiss. And then I say goodnight to my dog and give her a kiss because if she isn't the last one I kiss, I get a dirty look from her and she huffs at me lol. FH is not bothered by this!

All your tuck in stories are super cute Smiley smile
