November Wedding Outside????

Future Mrs. Day, on June 11, 2012 at 12:51 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

Do you ladies think it will be too cold outside for an outdoor ceremony??? I want to do the ceremony outside and take pictures outside I know it isn't spring or summer but sometimes fall weather will be ok but I don't know if its going to be pushing it to plan an outdoor ceremony.

It totally depends on where you are. Check farmers almanac to see what the weather is historically like in your area in early November. Here (san diego) it's cold and miserable (for CA standards) but we usually get a heat wave at Thanksgiving… go figure.

If you want an outdoor ceremony, I would book somewhere that has an indoor plan B. Just in case it's miserable out, you can duck inside if need be.

Beware! The time changes on November 4th (really early sunset)! I know because I get married on November 3rd.

I'm in Georgia, and I got engaged on 10/23. I waited for 11/10 to roll around to see what the weather is like. It was nice with a cool breeze. If any BAD weather happens then my venue has 3 options inside that can be set up even 30 minutes before.

For your area the high temp last year on that date was 62 and the low was 39. And remember that last year was warmer than average. In 2010 high was 57 and low was 35. So it may be chilly to have it outside.

For MD I'd say that will definitely be too chilly!!

If you insist on a fall wedding and having ir outdoors, I'd say early Oct would be your best bet but even then that may be pushing it...

I would make sure you have a back-up plan assuming it would be too cold (option to have indoor ceremony if weather doesn't cooperate). I had to sit outside at a wedding in late October and froze and just couldn't wait for the ceremony to end, you don't want your guests to feel like that.

It's in Annapolis Maryland and I see pics at the venue of outside weddings in October and I'm alittle scared to have it outside I think I will have it inside just to be on the safe side but its just so pretty outside Smiley sad I wish I could move my date but I have to do it then because everything is planned out for then so oh well I guess we will have it inside Smiley sad

You can always still take some outdoor pictures but it would be cold for everyone to sit through a 30 minute ceremony in the cold.

Does your venue have any of those outdoor heaters? If you really wanted to be outdoors maybe with the heaters it would be possible. Inside if probably a safer bet though.

No I dont think they have heaters but I can rent them from a near by vendor if I want but I dont think I want to do all of that so I will just have it indoors and take pictures outside.
