I'm really trying to stay on a budget and so one of the biggest expenses i can cut is food. So the reception is past dinner and i'm informing guests to eat since its such a small wedding but what if i want to have something else....like smores or decorate your own cupcake bar??? i don't know it...

I would love some ideas and feedback on if this is a good idea or what to do.

Glenn if she cant afford food 9 years away im sure she wont be able to afford open bar. Besides I dont think its good for her guest to drink so much on an empty stomach.

OOoh! Charge guests a cover charge! That'll help pay for some pizza or chips!

I'm not sure if this is a real post or not but my MOH is getting next year in June and because her wedding is outdoors she is doing a sundae buffet.

Yes but if they have empty stomachs they won't need to drink as much to get smashed, saving her money!

With nine years to plan, I do not think she can afford the marriage license, let alone one beer to share with all of the guests.

    @ Glenn true, true

@ Kathy, and she hasn't responded yet! LOL!

@ Sarah C. Is that all your friend is having is "ice cream" ? I mean I can see it as a means of dessert but not the only food item.

Not trying to remove it...she can't afford to have it in the first place. I think she needs to serve cheese doodles and kool-aid.

As long as someone spikes the Kool Aid im fine with it. In fact I have a bag of cheese doodles here for when I drink tomorrow night so it's a great idea!

Sorry to butt in..... but has everyone seen the petition ???

to help change the way the guest book works,

We would like to be able to approve a guest book comment before it posts

so that fake accounts can't log in and write "wonderful" stuff on our guest books without our knowledge.

Glenn, I am betting that the MOH will have a flask with her, to spike the Kool-aid.
