Need to Vent! "interesting" Wedding Experience

Oh hell no! I would have ate the sandwich right in front of the MOH proudly. Not eat? Did she think you guys wouldn't fit in your dresses if you ate a sandwich? How odd.

I would have taken the finger sandwich and ate it while making direct eye contact with her sister and aunt then said "Yum! This is so good! I think I'll have another!", but that's just the petty in me talking LOL.

I will most definitely be feeding my party too, since I know that I would hate for them to be hungry! I would probably not be friends with bride after that!

Oh my. That is absolutely terrible. I made sure my mom, grandmother, bridesmaids, groomswoman, and I all ate breakfast and lunch since they got ready with me. My dad and brother (bridesman) got ready with my husband, but we had leftovers so they had some. I made sure to order extras since I didn't know how much each person would eat. I'm so sorry this happened to you.

Am I crazy but isn't it customary to get food during getting ready for the bridesmaids?

This is my plan at least! We are going to get Panera catering and have some mimosas!

Hellllllll no. Sounds like they pushed some personal family opinions onto you. I would probably mention it to the bride though...presumably this is someone you are close with. How many bridesmaids were there that the bride wasn't even paying attention to her bridesmaids and the MOH was making all the decisions? I plan on getting ready with my bridesmaids and having food and drinks for them (and me).

That’s so bizarre to me. I would NEVER expect people to not eat. I also would have taken the finger sandwich and eaten it slowly and exaggeratedly in front of her. That’s extremely uncool for them to have good for the groomsmen and ban you from eating, especially with boxed lunches being delivered. I probably would have thrown the dress on the ground and told them to stuff it, and left. but I get really angry when I’m hungry. I don’t have patience for that kind of thing. You are far more patient and forgiving than I.

Wow! That is beyond ridiculous. I plan on having all the food that day. Like one day of starving yourself will change your physical appearance? No...that needs multiple days.

This sounds crazy! It was so important to us that our bridesmaids & groomsmen had just as much fun as we did.

That is so crazy! I plan on getting breakfast and lunch for our bridal party, I don't want anyone passing out and I get hangry if I skip a meal!

Thanks for the replies and letting me vent everyone! I feel better that my frustration wasn’t warranted. I definitely know what not to do at my wedding. I probably won’t bring it up with the bride. She wasn’t the one telling us not to eat. I will just avoid her MOH forever!!
