Need rehearsal dinner venue Chadds Ford, PA

What about the Chadds Ford Winery? There is also a brewery near there... starts with a K.. it's a pretty cool atmosphere.

Thanks ladies! I tried the vendor search but its the same places I looked at for the wedding so that doesn't help. @Lizz do you mean McKenzie's? That is on 202 I was hoping to stay Rt. 52/Rt. 1 area. I think Chadds Ford Winery might be a little expensive but doesn't hurt to ask! We took pictures at the museum! I didn't know they did catering, I will check that out too, thanks a lot everyone!

I also looked on Yelp and TripAdvisor, they usually have reliable reviews of restaurants.

You could have the Rehearsal dinner at Mendenhall if you are worried about the travel so that all you do is just go to the restaurant afterwards. I would talk to your sales lady about it, and see what they can do for prices. Hope this helps!

The Brandywine River Museum and Chadds Ford Winery were on the list Cate's ILs looked into. I would also double check Longwood Gardens. I know they dont' do weddings, but they may do small gatherings. In the end, they wound up hosting the RD in the restaurant at the Mendenhall in a private room. They just made sure the the menus were very different.

You can also go with the Concordville Inn.

Warning though...Cate's ILs hosted the RD in the restaurant with open bar on Thursday and then a Welcome To Philly cocktail party with Philly foods on Friday evening for the guests flying in on Friday, and who missed the RD. The peeps at the Mendenhall did not give her a discount at all. : (

Ray really doesn't want to have the dinner at the same place since we are gonna be there Saturday night. Brandywine River musuem is already booked, I emailed Chadds Ford Winery - my guess is they will be more than $30/pp. We don't want anything extravagent and Ray says he wouldn't mind even doing it at Duffers. HOWEVER - my mom is totally against it. I told Ray give these options to his dad - either travel a little further to West Chester - Timothy's does $16.99/pp for food & $12.99/pp for open bar, very affordable. OR pay a little more to be closer... I wish we could just have it catered somewhere close I know they could do a nice buffet pretty cheap but then we would have a rental fee... Grr!!

I would really just love to do like a backyard garden party type thing but no one lives close enough to mendenhall to do this, does anyone know anywhere we can rent kinda cheap??

LOL I do too but I don't think they can accomodate 30, that little side room has booths and stuff so I don't know if that would work either. Plus my mom wasn't fond of the idea. She has to wear oxygen and is in a wheel chair, they aren't really wheel chair friendly and people smoke outside and by the door constantly, it would be very uncomfortable for her....
