My mom wants me to change my dress

Does she realize it will be hemmed? The dress isn't going to be that far past your feet in the front once it is altered. You look gorgeous. Please don't get another one to please her.

Also.... If you're on the phone and she says something hang up. No discussion just hang up. Same if your with her. Leave. No discussion. I had to train my parents this way as they were negative and hyper critical about everything. It would be longer between each time that they saw me. Eventually they got it. If they wanted to see me they had to zip it.

We have very very similar dresses - so of course I LOVE yours. Your train is more lacy than mine, but I love that neckline and everything. I'm not saying this to make you feel better, you are absolutely thinner than me, probably by like 20-30 pounds. This is how I wish my dress looked on me, but I eat too many french fries. It took me until my thirties to realize that my mother tends to push all her insecurities onto me and I will never look good in her eyes. This is why she won't see me in my dress until the day of the wedding when we are surrounded by people who will tell her to STFU.
