In the end, a good day and a great experience is all that matters. I watched an episode of four weddings last night, this chick spent $150,000 had 10 tier cake and still came in last place. The bride that won spent maybe $10,000 on her wedding.

I just wanted to put that out there.

Ok I may be in the minority here but I don't agree that the only criteria or the most important criteria is how you treat your guest. Now bear in mind that I know it is important and I want the guest at my small wedding to have a good meal and to have fun but I also want to enjoy my wedding. If what is more important to my guest is what they eat and not how happy and in love my FH and I are and celebrating that, then I have failed in inviting the type people I wanted to share that celebration with. (the one's who would hold us up if we needed and the one's whom we would do the same for in return). We get so caught up on the material aspect of it all but when it's all said and done the important part is not how much you did or can spend but how much the day reflects the love everyone feels. I don't begrudge anyone spending $100 or $100,000 on their day if that's what they want and they can, I just feel we (Americans, women, people, etc) focus on the show and not the subtance too much
