Memorial Day Couples Bridal Shower?

Mrs. Kline (Sass), on April 30, 2010 at 9:24 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

I was talking to my mom about when we might be able to come visit and have my bridal shower and other wedding planning stuff. (We are worried that if Roger's dad passes away and we have to use vacation time for that and also for visiting my parents- they refuse to come to the wedding if they havent met roger by then- that we might not have enough for the honeymoon- or maybe even the wedding). So my mom suggested coming up memorial weekend since with the long weekend he would be able to take less time off, and just doing a bbq. Since we usually have a bbq then anyway it will probably be a couple thing since most of the family has been planning on coming to my grandmas that weekend. Thoughts?

I think it would be cute - you can decorate and still do bridal shower stuff if you like. They have coed games.

I think it would be cute, too. As long as you are comfortable with it I think that's all that matters. Don't settle for a b.s. you won't be happy with. But you could definately go with it and make it a rustic bbq bridal shower theme. Could be some cute decorations out there!

I think it sounds good. It is good that you are including the boys since it is the holiday weekend. It should be a good time for your family to get to know Roger. Go for it!

I am planning a memorial day bridal shower for my fsil in our hometown. Brother, fsil, & I all live out of state and will be traveling in. So a lot of our family are wanting to attend to visit with us. What we are doing is an outside garden party for the girls. The whole traditional shower games, gift opening, light food, ect... While we are outside enjoying the shower the boys will be socializing in my parents basement where they have a pool table and Wii games and such. I'll be setting up light appetizers down there for them as well. The shower is starting at 2pm, we expect to re-conviegn around 5pm for a family BBQ. Burgers & Dogs will go on the grill for dinner.

I think it is going to work out great having the boys there but still being a traditional shower.

Good luck to you and have fun at your shower.

The same punasity that you just told Natasha T. that you ran... thanks but no thanks. Also not really something I would consider especially with my mom and dad there. Flagged! I really hate spam!
