If everyone on this website is married already or getting married, how do you think we feel about marriage??

What type of response were you expecting?

Not sure what type of answer your looking for here but obviously were all planning to get married if not already.

Yeah i'm not sure what kind of answer you're looking for. Obviously everyone on here believes in marriage.

It's amazingly awesome, but also it takes work to have a happy one! :-)

I think marriage is cool. I might do it one day... maybe next May.

It is a commitment that you make to another person, hopefully for life. It is not for the weak hearted because it is very tough to be with one person, day in and day out, and not have to work at keeping things in life smooth sailing. Marriage is telling another person that you are there for them regardless. After all the glitz and glam of the wedding comes the reality of the marriage. They are not the same. There is very little glitz and glam in being married. There will be dirty clothes on the floor, he will forget to raise the seat, there will be tough decisions that you need to discuss. That IS marriage. Not that I am trying to discourage anyone-I am, afterall on the same path as everyone here-but if you are going into MARRIAGE thinking it is going to be easy street, please take the time to rethink the reasons you are getting married. Think about all the things that irritate you now about your FH and multiply them and consider living with them 50 years with these faults.

Ms D & Ginny S, yes i know that everyone is married or expecting to be. I started this discussion to see what others opinions were about it. Thats what these forums are about to see what others think!!..So for Ms D to come on MY POST and say some out of the way like that wasnt caused for, so if u didnt understand the question, why comment??..so curious about that!!

Umm... your asking what we think about marriage when this website is about planning a wedding, aka getting married... I think its safe to say we all believe in marriage.

@Undraya--I *think* people are asking you to be more specific...it's broad topic. Are you looking for why we're all getting married? What we expect to get from it? Why bother? Etc.

I think marriage is what happens when a handsome man appears with a gunny sack full of prosecco and dark chocolate, so you climb inside the sack to snack out, and before you know it you've been hogtied and hauled to Vegas, and you're standing in front of Elvis at the Let's Get Drunk and Pretend this Never Happened Chapel. Then you embark on a life of mystery and suspense, as it turns out the gunny sack holder isn't your husband at all, but your long-lost cousin who wants to tell you how you inherited a million billion dollars.

I think that it sucks and I'd never do it again......oh wait, this is a wedding forum isn't it? So yeah, I guess marriage is kind of cool. Seriously, what other types of response were you expecting?
