Mama's Song

I'm actually having that song dedicated to my mom during the reception I'm going to dance with her to it too, just not have a specific dance that people have to watch.

I'm planning a mother daughter dance too...not exactly sure what kind of dance it'll be. My father was never in the picture, so I thought she should get that dance. Any ideas of how you would dance with your mom??

I am actually dedicating that song to my mother also. But I am having my MOH and her sister sing it and will be writing a little speech for her

I like Future Mrs. S's plan. I think I will play the song and dance with it with my mom with our arms around each other, but not announce it, I think it will mean much more.

I did that! My dad didn't show up to the wedding, so my mom and I danced and bawled our eyes out to that song It was beautiful.

I'm going to playing it as the song mom walks out too before the ceremony. i cry everytime i hear it - it means a lot to me. she's been mom and dad for 6 years now since my daddy passed away. she's wonderful.

My father passed away a little over a year ago so instead of the typical father/daughter dance, I'm dancing with my mom, and that is the song we've chosen. My SO said he would feel weird dancing with his mom in front of everyone if I didn't dance with someone too and I think his mother would be heartbroken if we cut out the mother/son dance, so yes, when my mother and I dance it will be a showcase dance with everyone watching.
