Letting your fiance see HMU trials....did you?

I wouldn't think twice about it, mostly because my FH would not care. He always says he likes me with less makeup. He's a dude, he doesn't get it So if you want to show him, I say go for it. When you are actually in the wedding dress with the veil and your hair done, it will be a much different effect.

FH doesn't even want to see my inspiration pins. So he doesn't know anything about my look besides my shoes, and I'm perfectly fine with that. I think it'll make the reveal more genuine since he doesn't know what to expect!

Yeah my FH honestly doesn't care lol. I don't think it'll actually hit him that we're getting married until I'm walking down the aisle lol. He saw me after mine and said I looked pretty and that was just about it ha.

DH saw my make up trial. My stylist changed my hair at the end of the trial so that I wouldn't give away my entire look at my shower.

He didn't even notice the differences when I hang out with him after my trials...lol

I had worries that I would love the trials but he would hate it but no issue there.

But then DH is someone who won't notice these thing unless maybe I shave my head or something drastic.

We are not doing first look and FH doesn't want to know anything about dress, etc. but today was my HMU trial and we did engagement/family photos. I wanted his input because he liked the hair "up" so I wanted to know his opinion. The makeup was also not done as heavy as it actually will be on wedding day. I just didn't make a big deal of it and neither did he. It can't take away from the bam factor on the day of. I was in jeans and yoga pants for most of the day with this updo....with dress and veil, it'll look totally different.

As long as he's fine with whatever you do to your face. I've seen several brides post gorgeous MU trial pics and then say that their FH's didn't like the result because it was just too much make-up. They usually tone it way down, which is a shame, because many of them looked stunning.

I let him see my hair after my trial, he was like, oh cool it looks good. I don't think it will take away from the wedding because I wasn't wearing my dress or make up at the time so he didn't care really haha

I personally didn't want him to see it. I had my trial when he was gone. My hair, makeup, and dress are the only part of our wedding that I wanted to surprise him with.

I showed FH and I'm glad I did because he didn't like it, he said it was too dark. I had my MUA do my makeup again for our engagement pictures and had her do it lighter and he loved it. Haven't had my hair trial yet.

Yup, I had my mu trial today and showed him.

I had my hair done in a similar way to how I want it for the wedding, for my e-pics. He absolutely hated my hair and kept making fun of me and saying I looked like an old granny.

So needless to say, my hair will not be that way for the wedding.

and before anyone gets worried, thats our relationship. We tease each other a lot. He was not saying any of that in a mean way, just teasing me. I didn't like my hair all that much either, and he just verbalized all the things about it that I didn't like. And added the granny part.

My FH won't care or remember. And...it's just an updo and some makeup. It's not like he's never seen me with makeup before. Lol

My hair and make up trial was at our apartment, he was in the room playing video games while I was getting my hair and make up done so he saw the whole process and the result. He'll probably see me mid hair and make up day of too

I went to my parents' house to have my hair trial done, so he didn't see that. I'm getting my makeup trial on Christmas Eve, so he's definitely going to see that haha. I figure the makeup he won't remember since he's seen me done up for other events before, but I wanted the hair to be a surprise.

Since FH and I live together and only see each other on weekends, it's inevitable that he'll see my HMU trials. I am trying to keep some of his tastes in mind. I love a bold, bright lip, while he hates that look. I'll go with a more neutral look for the lip and a bolder eye possibly. It won't take away from your wedding day wow moment with dress and all Added.

DH saw my makeup because I scheduled my trial for the day of my birthday party. I had a separate appointment for my hair, and I did not let him see it. I wanted to keep some element of surprise.

Well, I've been "dolled up" before so I don't consider this any different. Plus, he's really not going to remember.

I did my hair and makeup trial the day I took my bridal portraits. I put my hair in a ponytail and wiped my face before I went home. I didn't want him to see anything before the wedding.

Mine saw. Full disclosure, makeup is one of my "things" and he's always been a staunch supporter. I knew he was the one when he showed up with a new Lorac palette for me as a "souvenir" from his boys trip (please picture a former college football player that's built like an ox going to Ulta and discussing eyeshadow...this happens on the reg and it cracks me up).

His seeing me in a full face of makeup (I'm talking drag queen proportions) didn't even throw him for a loop since he's used to me wearing quite a bit on my face day-to-day. Doesn't take away from your wedding AT ALL since nothing will compare to seeing hair/makeup/dress all come together.
