To plan your wedding. There is absolutely no other way that you can get more money. How would you do it?

Immediate family only with a JOP in the garden. Cake and punch reception with the money mostly spent on the photographer.

FH and I would drive to Vegas (invite friends if they want to make the trip), get married in a chapel, and spend the money on a nice meal and a great hotel room Smiley smile

Drive to Vegas, get married, and spend the money on nice room, a show and desserts!

I love Vegas!! FH and I talk about going all the time to just get married and be done with all the wedding planning.

Hmmmm, our neighbors have an annual crawfish boil that is SO fun and most of our friends are there anyway, so I'd ask them if they mind inviting our parents too, then I'd order a really nice cake, a beautiful bouquet, get a vintage birdcage veil, we would wear nice clothes we already own, pay a talented friend to take photos, pay a talented friend to bust out her violin, and make it a surprise wedding on the spot!

Any leftover cash would go into the keg fund for next year's crawfish boil. Smiley smile

I would stil get married at my church as planned and have a backyard reception at my mothers, and prepare the food myself. Of course it would not be a really huge guestlist, but I would decorate and splurge on the wedding cake.

I'd town-hall it and invite my closest family to that, then a backyard party like you do for graduation with a short white cocktail dress.

At least- in my head that's what I'd do...not sure what I'd actually do unless put in that situation I think.

Elope! Get married in the courthouse(probably $200 at the most), and have a mini honeymoon just the two of us with the remaining $800.

It would be me and my fh and a photographer, and I would have a picnic themed wedding. Complete with checkered blanket and basket and wear a cute white dress I already own he would wear a grey suite and we would get glass coke bottles and a hold it in the park. And call it a day.

I saw it done on stylemepretty and loved it.

That's only half of my current budget.

Easy. Simple beach elopement with close family and friends.

A small cake and punch reception at a nearby park.

And a couple nights at a nearby Hampton Inn.

I had a couple of white formal dresses from college. I would use one of those.

FH has a black suit and nice tie.

    Something like this:

You know... I wish we would have done this anyway!

I am with Justine on this one. A simple park wedding sounds perfect to me. We would keep the guest list tiny and have a home-cooked meal with a cake from Sam's Club. I would wear a simple white dress and DH could wear a simple suit. It would be very personal, intimate, but still an amazing experience!
