June weddings- what is everyone doing with covid-19?

Grayson, on March 29, 2020 at 10:17 PM Posted in Community Conversations 1 4
Hey everyone! Just wanted to see what everyone is thinking for June weddings. Are you still having it with fewer people? Postponing? What’s your game plan?

My FH and I are suppose to get married in Montana on June 27th. Only his parents live there and everyone else is traveling from out of state. We are pretty sure, with everyone traveling it is time to go ahead and postpone. Our venue said we can postpone to June 2021! Blah but that is so far. We are thinking we may just have a mini courthouse wedding on June 27th and then have all the festivities next June. But still weighing all our options. What is everyone else doing?

My wedding is 6/13 and we are cutting out guest list down to 10 and will plan a reception for a later date. We don’t want to postpone getting married, but have no problem postponing this “people” part. Lol!

I am based in Australia and my wedding date is June 6
The Australian Government has put a restriction in place that limits weddings to only 5 people (couple, celebrant and a witness each), and we have already made the decision to cancel the wedding. We are at this stage, planning on moving forward with just the 5 people present to be able to actually get married, and then one our 1 year anniversary, we will have a vow renewal and a wedding reception after.
If for some reason, the restrictions change and we are unable to get married at all on our original date, we will just our 2021 date to have our actual wedding. Thankfully, all of our vendors have let us transfer our deposits to the new 2021 dates so we aren't out of pocket much at all
    Good luck with everything!

Hi Natalie! This is definitely a crazy stressful and uncertain time for everyone. Does your venue only have dates a year out? Is there any chance of getting a closer postponement date if you took a different day of the week, like a Friday or a Monday?

Please know that you aren't alone right now! ❤️ There are a ton of June brides also talking about their Covid19 concerns in these discussions:
