Is it necessary to have a shuttle rsvp on wedding invite?

Hi all!
So my fiance and I booked a 50 seat coach bus that will shuttle guests staying at our blocked hotels to and from the venue. One hotel is 15 mins from the venue, the other is only 5 mins. I think we will be OK shuttling guests from the venue back to the hotels because we will have the bus pick up guests at 10pm, 11pm, and midnight; however, my only concern is whether the bus will have enough seats available to take guests to the ceremony. Going to the ceremony, the bus will only pick up hotel guests once because I don't think it will have enough time to return to pick up guests a second time. We're inviting about 195 guests, but I'm guessing 150 will actually come.. There is enough space to park at the venue and they do allow guests to park overnight at least.
I'm just wondering if you guys think I should have guests RSVP whether they will use the shuttle, so we can ensure there will be enough seats for guests going to the ceremony? There's not enough space unfortunately to put it on our RSVP cards, but I'm thinking of having the invites direct guests to view our website for further details and the transportation info will be on the website - and I would put our contact info where they can reserve their seat for a shuttle to the ceremony? What do you guys think?

I would be really worried about saying you’re providing transportation and then only having availability for a quarter of your guests (for planning purposes, you should always assume 100% attendance until you actually get your RSVPs back). Are a lot of your guests local so it’s more likely they’ll be driving themselves? If you have anyone flying in, I would definitely expect them to make use of the shuttle rather than renting a car. And when you’re talking distance to the venue, is that 5/15 minutes walking or driving? I am young and fit and would be fine with even a 15 minute walk, but taking into account that your guests will be dressed nicely, some wearing heels, potential weather, I would be prepared to provide transportation for everyone. Even if you just book additional 50-seat buses for a one way trip, which should be cheaper than the chartered bus you have returning from the reception.

I agree with Kimberly, our shuttle ended up having to make a 3rd trip and delayed the start of our ceremony because not enough people were ready for our first one and they had too many people at the second trip so he had no choice but to go back a third time. If I could do it over, I would have paid for 2-3 buses for the time of the second one, instead of 3 separate trips. The end of the night shuttles are fine, those were utilized a lot by our guests.

Thanks for your guys' input! I might try and ask around to get an idea who will actually use the shuttle. Everybody I've asked so far it seems like they're just driving themselves or using uber. It doesn't seem like many people are staying in the hotels.. so we might actually think about adding UberEvent vouchers for those using Uber

Unless the venue is in the middle of nowhere with zero options for taxis and for some reason your guests don’t drive their own vehicles (or rent their own), a shuttle is unnecessary. Call around to your VIP guests as part of a regular conversation to find out if they will even use the service before you pay deposits. The information doesn’t belong on the invitation. It can go on the details insert, which is where all information on a website goes, since many couples don’t have websites.
