Hello! Our wedding date is April 2,2020 We have been engaged for a while. We had our little son in 2017 so that kind of pushed back our wedding plans Also ,we are working on saving money.

October 2020! Long engagement but I’m already having anxiety over planning and feel like it’s gonna be here before we know it! Any tips and advice?!?!

It'll definietly fly by but you still have plenty of time for it all! I would suggest starting with a rough estimate of a budget and guest list as well as looking into possible venues! We have a great checklist tool on here that I'll link below for you to look through!

Congratulations! We set our date for October 10, 2020 to also save money for our wedding. We are perfectly fine having a long engagement. We just got engaged at the end of September so it was about 2 years until our wedding. All we have done so far is set the date and picked the venue since it was such a popular weekend. We also have talked to a photographer and DJ but have not booked anything yet.

Congrats!!!! We are getting married 8-8-20 and that means our engagement is going to be 2 years long! No need to rush, and the planning is SO much fun. We are going to see some venues in a month, and I’m over the moon excited.

Congratulations on your engagement! We have been together for 8 years and have to beautiful boys. My now fiancee ( which I'm getting use to calling him, LOL) proposed the day after Christmas. We agreed to have our wedding in July 2020. Also giving our out of town family and friends time to plan and book accommodations to attend our wedding. We have started to look at venues in the bay area, which are totally way expensive. So, we did look at central California and found this beautiful wedding Venue in Fresno, CA which isn't that far from the bay area and have booked a appointment in March to tour and if every goes well, we will place our deposit to hold our date.

Congratulations!! We're doing the same thing. Targeting Spring 2020 but we haven't picked a date yet. Our goal is to pay cash for the whole thing. Sometimes people act like we're nuts, but it's really not that long in my mind. We got engaged in November so ~18 months or so. I'm still figuring out how to plan too.

Decided on our honeymoon we will go to Punta Cana as our mini honeymoon 1 month after our wedding and then going to Italy for our big honeymoon for 2 weeks but not until our 1 year anniversary.

We got out A, B, & C list drafted for guest list, finally got our A list under our max lol

Got most of our songs picked out

YES!! We are also getting married May 2020. We pushed it out from an earlier date, in order to save more money. So, our engagement will be about 2 years and 1 month once we walk down the aisle. But as long as I get to marry my best friend and love of my life, I don't mind the wait! I'm actually a lot less stressed out since we gave ourselves more time. I now have the time to do the research I want to do, and take my time planning things out. In terms of how to go about it, we started with a guest list, so we would have a good idea of the cost. Then looked at venues until we found one we really loved and could afford. We booked the venue, photographer and DJ fairly quickly, because I wanted to make sure we had the date we wanted locked in with those vendors. Other stuff can wait a bit longer. So, now we're just taking our time, enjoying each other and planning our big day!!

My wedding is as of right now September 20 2020. In Ohio, but we don't know if we want that date now because his cousins got engaged and his one cousin is October 10th 2020. And we're worried about them being two busy for ours. And also us missing their wedding because of our honeymoon. What should we do ?? Please help

We got engaged on 6/15/18. We already secured the venue. We chose the year 2020 to allow enough time to pay for everything.
