Inexpensive farm/barn venue!

I'm getting married in november of 2017, and my theme is fall! My girls and I will be wearing boots, I really want a farm/barn type place but cant find any under $3000! My budget is capped at $2000 and I live in Macon so it can't be more than about 45 minutes away. HELP?!

@Ariana - no one gave "opinions", everyone gave advice, except you. You gave really bad advice. Your ideas are really bad, and the OP has latched onto them because they are bad and now her friends and family will side-eye her if she takes your advice.

My venue is city owned. It has a barn type building on the grounds. It was $1500 for a week day and $2000 for a weekend day. I'm not going for a barn look but it could easily be decorated to play up that part of the venue. I'm in Los Angeles though. My point is that a city owned venue might be your best bet. On a side note, I regret not finding an all inclusive venue. Having to bring in all my own vendors, including rentals, has really been a hassle and it adds up. As much as I loooove my venue, I really jumped the gun when I booked it.

OP, we're honestly trying to help you. You were given a fantastic barn venue suggestion, but you said that's too far. If you're not willing to change your date or travel a little farther for a venue, and none of the venues in your area are affordable, you're going to have to change your vision. However, you could change your date or your location and have the venue you want. You can have a lovely wedding with your budget. You just might not get 100% of what you want.

ETA: @Sarah, haha you sound like me! It really is a lot of work. I know it'll be great in the end, but damn, I really set myself up for some stress.

Ariana, when you post on a public forum, you're going to get all kinds of "opinions". So if someone thinks that most opinions are like assholes, there's really no point in posting.

Girl I know how u feel. My fiancé and I are getting married next September. And we want a barn/farm wedding also. Was not able to find a venue that was in my price range or could hold my guests. But the best man said we could do the ceremony and reception out at his property. We are excited because he doesn't want us to pay him for the use of his

land and barn. If u can't find a venue that u absolutely fall n love with. See if u can't find an old church to use.

@Jessica, have you tried searching for non-wedding locations? Like event spaces that don't specifically cater to weddings? Thats how I was able to find a gorgeous space in my area (high cost) for $1400.

@Ariana, how are you providing food for your guests? Just curious.

And site. Sight is what you use to look at this site.

Jessica- Are you reading the comments or just crying about it? No one said you have to spend more.... We said you may need to adjust vision, expectations, location or date.

A&W and Kathryn nailed it. Some people don't actually want help, they want the world to move for them.

Wow. "Ruthless"? LOL. I wouldn't define compassion as being unrealistic with someone just to make them feel good.

@Ariana - We can tell you have class...

@Jessica - Most people on this thread have been trying to help you. If you don't adjust your expectations, you are not going to make it out of wedding planning alive.

Personally, it drives me crazy that people even ask this type of question. Google, call around and do the research! Instead they come on here and expect others to do the work for them. Case in point, Delfina.....which was very nice of her.

Barn venues are extremely trendy now. Because of how in demand they are, they are not cheap.

Anything that says $800 to rent isn't $800. My local park venue was $800 to rent which included tables, chairs, etc. ended up costing us $2100 on venue alone, because of hidden fees.

This comment thread is too hilarious. I don't understand why you would post on here if you didn't want people's honest opinions...
