Lmao... that's awesome. Why do people let internet comments get to them? Nothing I saw was out of line so that's kind of a crazy reaction, lol.

I was originally thinking (or maybe hoping) this was a troll, but given OP's defensiveness, I'm not so sure...

OP, if you were blindly making this decision on your own, that would be one thing. But what I'm concerned about is the fact that you have kids and are potentially affecting them by marrying a man that you have known for TWO months. If you are a "grown ass woman", then why are you making such an impulsive decision? It seems like you're not thinking about anyone but yourself.

I was in a relationship with a guy that was also sweet and romantic...until he wasn't. It took about a year for his sociopathic tendencies to come out. Two months is just simply not enough time to truly know a person...

Beachy, I always go "Cops" haha. Reminds me of my childhood. Fitting, for such an immature thread I guess.

Thanks for your validation, Jashanda! Sorry we couldn't give you ours, but we're not fake liars.

Are you afraid to tell her because you know she wouldn't approve and you feel guilty for some reason? If you aren't adult enough to tell your family you are engaged, then maybe you shouldn't get married till you are ready.

Dang I missed OP's responses before they got flagged.

But anyways, here are my two cents: I think you're mom is probably going to be shocked and it's probably a combination of the age gap and the speed of the engagement and marriage. I also think if you're asking if you're doing the right thing then you should probably take sometime before making this big of a decision. In regards to how to tell your mom - how about you just be honest and come to terms that she's probably not going to agree with your decision.
