So this is part of the email that we received earlier on in the evening from our wedding venue in regards to covid.

Sorry this stressed you out. Do you have guests that are coming from out of state or traveling to attend? I would start by notifying those guests first so they can figure out how they are going to squeeze in travel + making an appointment to get tested somewhere. It would be nice if they said they would reserve a slot of times for your guests to get tested the day before your wedding. Sorry this is another thing you have to figure out.

‘Why don’t you ask your legislation or state reps?’ Great suggestion. I’ve actually been in constant contact with them regards to getting rapid testing. We also spoke to one of the state representatives on the phone this morning on a Saturday. But thanks for your suggestion.

“Why can’t you ask your venue about rapid testing for your guests?” We actually have. We’ve been in discussion with them about this for the past four months as well as the state. They were able to get themselves free rapid tests and then told me that they don’t have the time to accommodate. But thank you for the suggestion.“Why can’t you see if you can rent a room mobile testing bus?” Great question! We actually spoke to our DJ earlier today about this and he is trying to find us a contact that provides this and that the state will approve!
“ how dare you for venting!“ .... you made an account because you’re triggered by someone being upset that they get a bomb dropped on them eight weeks before their wedding?? Sounds like there’s a bit more to your story here. But thank you so much for being open and honest! Good luck with yourself and your life♥️

I understand that this is an inconvenience but maybe look at it this way - at least you’ll be sure everyone is safe and healthy and no one will be getting sick due to attending your wedding. Isn’t that really the most important thing - your loved one’s safety?

Totally! Which is why I think it would be a better idea for people to get tested on site. I mean if you think about it it’s pretty pointless to test someone 48 hours prior when in that 48 hours timeframe they could easily catch Covid.
