I was flagged on another post.....So I guess it's against community guidelines to invite people to become friends on fb? When did this happen? Go figure!

Lol! I am only worried because I do have a page for wedding stuff and people to connect too and I just PMd Christina with the link asking if it was okay to share it. Especially since its a fun page and no one is selling any stuff on ther.

*sigh these things are quite confusing

Apparently having a link to my fb page where my fb has items that I make for weddings is a problem...like 5 items I have made, I posted on there.Overall, however the entire fb page is more about me posting pics, links and fun wedding sharing items for all brides, eiether way, I didn't see it as a violation, but ww did.

Because you have 5 items you made, which, based on your other posts, you intend on selling, of course it would be flagged. It is a violation of guildelines. Vendors, some who pay to have access to their own forum and to this forum if we allow them to post on it(by choosing the who can post), could view it as taking away from their business. The companies that pay to advertise could make similar things to what you have made and they could take issue. Do I agree? No, but I understand why. We are not allowed to solicit in any manner on this forum. If we don't like it, we can go to forums that have classified sections: Wedding Bee, Project Wedding, The Knot. Again, I don't agree, I am just giving you my take on it.

OMG some people can take things too far. I too am on FB and with a group on FB, but we all still on the WW and on FB....I think it is a more connection on FB simce some people are in the same state or near by as well as some connect more to others since of the year of they're wedding...I do not see the big issue, some people can be a bit snippy on either sites, but pick and choose your battles wisely!

Well said! I figure we all have a right to choose to be friends (or not) on fb, I was just sharing a link to my wedding page. Personally, I love both here and fb.

I understand both sides here, even if MOST of the page is helpful links, inspiration pics, etc there was one or two post that said currently taking orders or place your orders soon. That is considered selling and would make it advertising here. Like I said I understand where your coming from but they have their rules for a reason :-/
