I honestly think my parents feel that I am being a b#tch.. but like come on!!! I have invited some of their friends and mostly because those friends that are invited might as well be family! But I just dont know how to respond at this point.. not looking for much advice. Just some venting! And wondering if anyone else is dealing with this too? Wedding planning..🙄

My mom is in heaven and my dad is uninvited LOL. But my mother in law invited like 15 additional people...I was like...ooooookkkk??? My honey was like ask my mom who SHE wants to invite.."I don't know there names." MMMKkkk...so she added 15 people and then she was like I would invite my aunt's family but...I literally cut her off and was like "but is $50 a person so no thanks" LOL..I mean really? Its not a family reunion or a picnic. Today I got a confirmation from one of the 15 people and she said "plus 3." What the heck!!!

So I get it. No more. =(

My parents have told me to the same thing.. like no. I couldn't have made easier for people to send the RSVPS back. I gave them an envelope, a stamp, and a return address label.. like fill it out and put it in the mailbox! I had a breakdown the other day... just cried in my car..

My FMIL just asked me today if she could invite someone else since we had a last min drop out and our wedding is this upcoming Saturday. I feel your pain girl!

Exactly! We literally did a pre-posted postcard for an RSVP and it was as simple as writing your name and checking a box, and sticking it in the mailbox. I understand the breakdowns as well. I was to the point that I was crying whenever I thought about it. It is very overwhelming to juggle not only the planning but the family dynamics with it all. I wish you luck!

It is so overwhelming. I am so excited to marry my best friend and share our wedding day with friends and family. But everything leading up to it has been rough! I wish you the best as well. Thank you for understanding! 💙

I had the same issue with RSVP’s. I only received half of them back by the due date we set for them. And I even put postage on all of them. All they had to do was check yes or no and write a # attending and put it back in the mailbox. I ended up calling everyone personally. Even those that my parents invited that I don’t even know. I figured, if you asked to be invited then you can RSVP!! And if they didn’t know who I was, and I had to explain it, then it was kind of an unplanned guilt trip to not come since you didn’t even know who I was. 🤨
