How to focus at work the week of your wedding?

Don't even try to focus and you *might* be able to squeeze in a minute or two of actual work. But don't plan on it.

Ummm yeah just accept that work isn't gonna happen! I'm lucky I got the time off but I had a hard time for like the whole month before...shoot I had a hard time the whole time I was engaged thanks to WW!

Today is my last day and I've been doing wedding stuff all day. Not sorry. I guess just try to set goals on what you need to get done and cross them off?

The week of my wedding I submitted an ad for an event my company was sponsoring...and I spelled "Congratulations" as "Congrautaltaions". It made it to print. I didn't even realize until MONTHS later lol.

So its better for everyone if you keep work to a minimum this week

I stopped functioning at work last week. I'm working today and tomorrow and then start all my beauty appt's Thursday(nails etc)

The biggest thing I found helpful was making small goals to get through the day. "Ok Jessi, email manager back in the next 30 minutes"

I'm working until Friday Chrissy- I didn't have the extra time either. Just pluggin' away... you know, on WW. Not real work.

I'm a grad student and had planned to write at least 3/4 hours per day on that week (except for Friday). I didn't write a single word, lol. We had to run tons of unexpected errands, and DH had to work that week, so I took care of it.

Yea I'll be "working" and by working I mean...

I'll be on WW.

Haha i do the same thing when im slow. hopefully i dont get fired because of my WW addiction.

The past few weeks has been easy stuff that I could spend maybe a quarter of the day on and mess around the rest of the day and I would still finish on time. This week my lovely bosses decided it would be fun to give me urgent work to do. Asshats...

I'm working all week too because I have a project due in three weeks. Yesterday I was working out at home before work doing side lunges. My dog got in the way so I twisted to avoid her. Mind you, I was holding 25 pound dumbells. Now my back is killing me. I'm working at home. I hope I'm better in six days!! Ugh

I don't think its possible to work! Haha. I'm actually going to work until Thursday afternoon (wedding is on Friday). So its safe to say I will be doing absolutely nothing other than annoying everyone on WW and FH since he has the whole week off.

It is so hard to concentrate when you know it is so close. I had the hardest time at work trying to get anything done.

I'm working Monday and Tuesday the week of. I'm trying to ensure all of my work and projects will be completed the week before because I know I wont be very productive work wise.

I work with enablers. Seriously. We have a new Senior Account Manager over our account as of a few months ago who graduated with FH. Yesterday she called me into her office...to talk wedding for 45 minutes. I'm the afternoon supervisor and totally ditched the staff to handle it all while we talked wedding plans. One of the account managers on a different account in our company is getting married the day before me in the same venue so she wanted to formally introduce us (I've only spoken to her in passing) and share plans and vents.

SO I'm thinking I'm not expected to focus at work, haha.

I will be working. But because of Labor day & I took off the friday before I will only have 3 days

I only took Friday off but I may have to dip out early on Thursday. I still have a few things to finish.

I can't even focus now. I'm paranoid I'm going to screw something up and someone will blame it on the wedding. I'm hoping after next week (after all numbers and things are handed in) things might be a little less crazy.

Chrissy I worked Monday - Wednesday before my Sunday wedding and I literally did nothing!

My wedding is 11 months away and I can't focus at work! LOL I am going to be even worse closer to the date. I would say to prioritize things on a to-do list and slowly work on getting it all done so that way, at least you have mini goals to reach. It definitely works for me!
