When our mutual friend introduced us to each other I was already in Texas staying with my parents for the summer. So we spent the majority of the summer talking over text messages and phone calls. When we finally got to meet face to face I felt like I had known him for years. When I got back to Pennsylvania shortly before starting my senior year in college I met him down at Musikfest where he was working for the radio station. It felt slightly awkward, kind of like a first date, but I was just so happy that I could hug him. Later that night he officially asked me to be his girlfriend and we've been together ever since! After we had been together for a year we took a trip down to Texas to spend Thanksgiving with my family. San Antonio's main tourist attraction is the River Walk; after Thanksgiving, all of the trees are covered in Christmas lights, so Jeff and I went since I've always loved it there. While we were waiting for my dad to get tickets for the boat ride, Jeff and I took a walk around to see the lights. We stopped at a beautiful waterfall to just take everything in, and he got down on one knee. I didn't even let him finish popping the question before I said "Yes!"
