How to focus at work the week of your wedding?

Yeah focus is not in my vocabulary right now. For some reason, my hands are really shaky. Not great when you work in a biology lab and are handling tiny tubes all day. I also am scheduled to present at lab meeting Thursday. I've hardly done anything over the past 3 weeks so that should be a prettttyyy quick presentation. Whoops sorry boss!

I'm already having a hard time focusing. There just seems to be so much to do, and I have the autonomy to do basically whatever I want at work, so long as the big stuff gets done. I feel a little guilty, but I know I will make up for it when the wedding is over.

Oh that's hard! I'm working this week but off next week and I still can't focus even though I have a million things to do at work since it's my second to last week working here. i thought i wouldn't have anything to do but for some reason every project I've ever worked on is coming back to haunt me!

I would make checklists of work and wedding things and try to get as much done as you can. Can any of the bridal party or family members help with some things on your list? Even if you don't have time, maybe someone else can help you!

I'm in the same boat as Michelle! My wedding isn't until May, and I already have a hard time thinking of other things besides my hug Wedding-To-Do list. I just started classes and do not feel like doing any school work!! At least work is a bit slower, and they don't mind me doing some homework while I am here!

I keep looking at the piles of work on my desk and saying I have so much work to do but just can't get motivated to do it. WW addiction, not good

Took next Friday off + Monday is Labor day so only a three day week, which softens the blow. Also, I intentionally assigned myself a tedious data entry project with no set deadline to work on this and next week so I can use all my mental energy for last-minute wedding details

I took off Thursday and Friday this week. I don't think any amount of time will be enough time when you are getting ready to throw the biggest party of your life. I have not been able to focus on anything at all, aside from WW. Seriously, my saving grace.

I took the Thursday and Friday off before my wedding, so after today I have 15 more workdays left. I have already been distracted for the past couple of months, but those last 3 days before the wedding I think I will be pretty useless. To complicate things I just got approved to work from home, and that is fantastic and I have been trying to get that for a year now, but why did it have to finally happen a few weeks before the wedding? I had to go buy all this home office stuff last night, I have to clean out our spare room to be my home office, and have all these higher ups come and inspect my house that is full of wedding crap. So if I am working from home the last few days before the wedding I think it will be extra hard to concentrate.
