How to decorate my own veil - help!

I'm considering adding pearls or beading to my veil. I am not interested in making my own veil (there are inexpensive plain tulle ones on Amazon, so making the veil myself isn't necessary), but would like some advice on how to make it a little bit extra.

Has anyone done this themselves? Advice? Dos and Don'ts?

Are there any good tutorials one can recommend?

I've seen people use hot fix rine stones to add some bling to your veil. You can get them on amazon. You can also get fabric glue and use that to attach beads or rine stones. I would personally use the hot fix because they are much more permanent. You don't want stuff falling off your veil.
