As soon as you can. FH and I got engaged in JULY 2018! We booked our venue, DJ and Photographer by the end of 2018. You would be surprised some vendors actually prefer you to book sooner. We booked our transportation in early 2019 lol. Bridal party came next in October/November Smiley smile. I got my dress a few weeks ago and booked my MUAH this month too. Next is bridesmaid dresses and FH Tux.

I feel do whats comfortable for you. We had a lot of time to figure out how we want our wedding and wedding colors. Smiley smile

Hey ! We're actually getting married on the same day! I've already started planning. We've attended two wedding showcases and we going to see our potential venue this weekend. I'm a planning type of person so there is no way I was waiting and this way it will be less stressful in the long run.

My boyfriend and I have been together six months and have a date of October 2021 set. He still needs to propose (lol!) but together we have already picked a venue, the budget, the color scheme and our officiant. If you can get your venue, then start booking your caterer, officiant, and everything else you need. Wait on the dress and sending out invitations but I think you’re right to be prepared

We’ve Started Writing Ideas Down ..!!! Not Doing Anything Real Until Venue Is Booked && Paid ..!!! Do What Works For You Both,Especially If You’re Doing It Yourself Like Me && My Fiancé ..!!!

Yes I already paid the deposit on my venue (Ceremony and reception same building) and that includes my catering.. I have my colors picked out, working on my guest list now. I plan to send STDs out in late spring because I have a lot of out of town guests. And I have like 4 Pinterest boards lol for everything now I’m narrowing all of those things down..

Has anyone in your family planned a wedding or looked into things. Some places and people book up a year ahead of time. Depending on if doing dj or band if you know who you want you should do now. But yes some minor things may change but you are still going have close same taste. Flowers same and things

    Hi Tina:

I will give you a tip that really helped me.
I created my Seating chart first and used that for the Invitation list.
As I received a “No”, I removed the name(s) from the chart.
I placed people that had something in common (employer, family, hometown, job, etc...) at the same tables.
    No muss, no fuss.

Do whatever you want. Time flies and you can just right down some basic ideas or look for the ideas to understand what you want. The earlier, the better I believe

No, you need to start now! You should already be looking at wedding dresses and everything. Things book up very fast so you need to start payment plans, dress shopping, and etc.

I think the earlier you start the less stress it will be for you. The only thing to watch out for when planning early is buying or booking things that you know can change. (Your bridesmaid dress styles, your wedding colors, etc.) things like that. But if you’re sureeeeee you won’t want to change anything I’d say go for it. You have a right to be excited and plan when you want!

Do what’s best for you girl! I got engaged August 10th 2019. Our wedding date is 3/6/2021. I actually booked our venue September 2019. I waited about a month before I started actually planning. I know another bride who booked her venue this month and their date is July 2021. I don’t think it’s ever too early to start planning. It gives you more time to save and get an idea of your budget and vision
