How Much is Too Many in your Wedding Party???

We have a MOH, 1 BM, 1 Best Man, 1 GM, 1 FG and 1 RB.

Thats pretty simple I wish I couldve did that half of my BMs is my sisters lol my dad had 18 kids all together..

I was told at my first wedding that it should be one pair(GM & BM) for every 50 guests. I don't know if that's true, it's just what I was told.

We have 10 BM'S ...including the matron and maid of honor

10 Groomsmen- including Best Man

2 flower girls

1 ring bearer

Mini Bride, that will conduct my train. She is 8 lol

@ Ashley Yes 18 and counting lol...but thank goodness he is getting married on 8/20/11 so he shouldve slowed down. @ Paris we are around the same numbers I wish I could cut it down somethimes but it will be hard.

Its more than I liked but I have 3 sisters 4 of my best friends, and close cousins.

I have 5 bridesmaids, 2 maids of honor, 1 matron of honor and 1 flower girl. That all too was because of the ceremony location. If I weren't getting married in a Catholic church, I would have had 5 bridesmaids, 2 maids of honor, 2 matrons of honor, 2 flower girls, and a miniature bride.

I've been kinda wondering the same thing, only we are only having 5 on each side... however our total guest count is only 40.... including the bridal party lol... so for such a small wedding I think we should only have 1 or 2 per side.... but oh well... who is going to tell you you can't do it!

Wow those are some large bridal parties. You guys are going to need a party bus to accommodate everyone. We have 3 BM, 3 GM, 1 MOH, 1 Best man, 1 jr GM, 1 Jr BM, a ring bearer and a flowergirl. I thought I had a lot of people.

I feel the size of the bridal party really only becomes and issues with pictures... to get THAT many people all smiling and looking at the camera at once will be challenging, but definitely do-able.

I'm so relieved to hear other brides having large parties! I am having 8 BMs, 1 MOH, and a FG. 7 GM, 1 Best man and a ring bearer. Literally.. it was just too hard to pick when we've had best friends from grade school to grad school plus we come from large families. I have no idea what to do about gifts!

I have 1 MOH 5 BM 1 flower girl and a Jr bride. I had 1 Moh And 6 brides maides. Big wedding parties can be a problem Everyone wants to be in the wedding but no one wants to help out with the preperations.

Catrina!!! Aint that the truth!!!! Everyone wants to be in it, but aint nobody offering to do a damn thing!!! lol

We'll have 8 on each side including MOH and BM, 1 FG, 1bible boy, a mini bride and a mini groom, total of 20. Last wedding I attended last year had a total of 42 and it worked out so you're fine with those numbers.

Oops, I forgot my princess, so my total is 21 plus FH and I.

I have 2 Matrons of Honors, 1 Maid of Honor, 9BM,2 JR BM. FH has BM, 9GM,. We have 1FG and 1RB. So thats a total of 26. Wow didnt know it was that many lol!!

I think we had a total we had a wedding party of 22 which included everyone

Yeah...I was a little worried that I had too many people in the bridal party as well but you all made me feel better about it...I have 4 bridesmaids, 1 matron of honor, 1 maid of honor, 1 flower girl and then 1 best man, and 5 groomsmen. I am still debating on a ring bearer...any thoughts? Is it necessary?

Wowza you guys have some big bridal parties! I would say that in the end there is no exact rule as to how many.. just remember that YOU are the one to keep them organized and going through out the day. I thought it was chaotic enough keeping our bridal party of 10 (1moh, 2 bridesmaids, 1 bman, 2 gm, 2 fg, 2 ushers) going throughout the photo's!! I think it would be best to make sure that you can keep everyone on the same page and get them all to the same places at the same time.. and if you can, then go for it!
