If you're comfortable sharing, how much did you spend on your shoes for the big day? I found a pair that I am absolutely in love with, but they are way more expensive than I even considered spending on shoes. Do I splurge on the pair I love or compromise because they're just shows for just one day?...

Honestly, I got mine off of Poshmark for like $14. I was looking at all sorts of amazing shoes that I love, but the biggest issue for me was finding a heel height that FH would be comfortable with me wearing, while also making me feel comfortable with how they look. That's harder to find than I thought! When I found them, they happened to be $14.
I spent almost as much money on my shoes as my dress I bought a pair of Crystal Christian Louboutin $2000 I only wore them for the photo shoot and walking down the aisle was so glad I got them ❤️👠
I spent just under $800 for Louboutins. My FH went shopping with me for a more reasonable pair and we both felt that the shoes we were finding weren’t special enough. Once in a lifetime shoes for a once in a lifetime day! I’m in the process of slowly breaking them in, you’re supposed to wear them around the house in socks so they fit better and are more comfortable.
I ordered two different pairs of shoes that were $300+ and if they were comfortable, I would have bought them. But I ended up wearing them around my apartment for a half hour and my feet were already sore. In the end, I bought a $40 pair of Kate & Kelly block heels from DSW and they were awesome. Plus, except for a few "details" photos, no one saw them. My dress was long and I'm glad I chose comfort over expense.
My FH are both planning on purchasing New Rock boots to wear with our outfits. We're both very big into the metal and goth subculture so it just seemed appropriate, and comfortable. They are durable and last forever! They used to be made of tire rubber but I'm not sure anymore. They are probably $200-400, depending on which shoe you choose. Since they are going to be worn well after the wedding, we don't mind spending the money on them.
I spent $100! They’re the “Vail” kitten pump by Badgley Mischka and I got them over 50% off at Nordstrom. Our venue is a vineyard, so there will be grass during the ceremony/photos so couldn’t do a huge heel anyways!
What I really wanted were the Manolo Blaknik Hangisis... but they’re $1000. I say check out Badgley Mischka and watch for sales! Nordstrom prices matches online very frequently.
I spent around $50 I think and I've worn them many times again so well worth it

I got $600 Valentino Geravani shoes for $96 on a consignment website. They are like new! My shoes will show because I'm walking down a stairway at the beginning of the aisle. I really wanted something special.
Depending upon the style of your dress, they may show while dancing, taking photos, etc.
