If you're comfortable sharing, how much did you spend on your shoes for the big day? I found a pair that I am absolutely in love with, but they are way more expensive than I even considered spending on shoes. Do I splurge on the pair I love or compromise because they're just shows for just one day?...

I ideally would like to buy something I can wear again but I also want something to stand out for a certain shot I want for pictures. Comfort has to be important too! I haven’t got mine yet but I don’t think I’ll spend more than $50, hopefully
I just purchased these less than $50. I didn’t wanna spend too since they’d be covered by my dress but needed them to be cute if someone got glimpse of them
Having shoes I could/wanted to wear after the wedding was super important to me. I ended up spending $50! My girls and I are all wearing Vans in different styles and colors. My dress/their skirts are all floor length, so you won't even see them. However, my mint green Old Skool Vans peak through the bottom of my dress but I LOVE IT. I also like that these shoes are more "non-traditional" so it completely fits my style. We're all going to be crazy comfy and we'll be able to wear our shoes well after the wedding, so I'm stoked about it!!
I spent over $500 and I don’t regret it at all. I bought a pair that I plan to wear (after they make their grand entrance at the wedding) for years to come.
I found DSW to be the cheapest followed by looking on ebay for some lightly used shoes. I did find a first pair at salvation army but they're too small. (which would have been $12)
I spent $60, which is more than I’ve ever spent on a pair of shoes in my life 😂 they were originally a lot more and the sale seemed too good to pass up. Originally I thought I’d buy heels for the ceremony and wedding sneakers for the reception so I probably would’ve spent more total on two pairs of shoes than I did on the one. And I know I’ll wear these shoes again. Considering wearing them for my shower and a few other events I have this summer, but I also don’t want to risk ruining them before my October wedding.
I spent $40 on a 2 1/2” pair of marnie & they are comfortable and look cute. I’ve been wearing them in our weekly dance class, so they will be really broken in by the time of the wedding.
I am buying mine for about $50 which includes shipping. I am getting character shoes to help keep me supported for and comfy for dancing while in heels. I plan to bedazzle them and make them look like cinderella slippers
I think total between both pairs was $175. The heels are for the ceremony and maybe longer if they are still comfortable and sneakers are for when I’m over wearing heels lol.

I have a pair bookmarked. I don’t wear heels at all. I can’t imagine wearing them for long or wearing them often. After reading this I’m guessing I can go ahead and skip them. 😩😩

I definitely want to go this route as well! Once I’m over a shoe I’m over it even if that means going barefoot. I don’t wanna spend most of my reception with everyone telling me the dangers and how unclassy it is to be barefoot 😩🤦🏽♀️
I ended up spending $185 on my shoes. I purchased and tried about 5 different pairs as inexpensive as $60 and as expensive as $250. The shoes I ended up with, I love. As important at that price point for me is, I’m going to wear them again. The first time I wear them will be for my wedding in November, but it won’t be the last time. So I’ll get to wear shoes I love on one of the most important days of my life and I’ll get to wear them again which to me makes the price feel worth it. Happy shoe hunting!
Even though I haven't looked or bought shoes yet, I set a budget of $60. I don't plan on spending more than that. If I find shoes that I liked or loved and they cost a little more I would spend the money especially if I can wear them more then once. If you feel comfortable in the shoes and if they are not too far off the budget spend the money on the shoes that you love.
