How much did you pay for your hair/makeup?

Maui K, on October 3, 2016 at 8:29 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 29

My sister said she would love to do my hair and makeup but I'd rather my family relax on the day of my wedding. Also, I'd rather have a professional do it so I know it will last and look great!

How much will your hair and makeup cost, and what does it include?

So far I've seen packages with and without fake eyelashes, as well as airbrush versus "conventional". Any preference?

Mine is $130/pp for hair and makeup. That includes airbrush and eyelashes, if desired.

ETA: my MUA does on location work so she will be coming to my hotel.

I'm spending $95 on makeup. No airbrush. But false lashes included. Hair will be around $100 as well.

Mine is $40 for hair and $60 for makeup w/lashes included. I think I found the lady on instagram and I also found some on Craigslist. She is traveling to my location for that price too which is amazing! And I did pay ($90) for a trial run but it was well worth it especially for peace of mind. Some actually have a free trial run so doesn't hurt to ask!

For me it's $150 for hair and makeup (no airbrush because I don't like it) with false lashes included. Bridesmaids are going to be $100 for hair and makeup with false lashes included.

I was considering airbrush because it stays on longer, but then I got advice from the professional artist who said airbrush streaks when you cry and regular makeup is easier to smooth out and fix. I know I'll be crying that day so I decided to stick with regular makeup so I don't ruin it.

I'm paying $375 for hair and makeup with lashes. $185 for my MOH's.

Thanks everyone! Is anyone getting hair extensions? I'm thinking about getting some to give my hair some more volume!

$300 for hair and makeup with false lash extensions which is standard where I live. I personally think aside from why you don't want a friendor, you want a professional to do this. I personally can always tell when it's not done professionally and I think If you're going to spend the money on pictures, you want to be happy with how you look in them

Mine has a $500 minimum for day of, plus $275 for trial. So $725 before tip. She is traveling to me, and airbrush and individual false lashes are included, but still a crazy obscene amount of money.

In SF Bay Area. One of the better prices around, too.

I took the risk of having someone do my hair and makeup with my MOH's friend who did bridal make up before. I just told her what I wanted for my hair. She did really great. And I only paid $50 + $10 tips! And I loved it!

I'm doing $60 for makeup and $40 for hair. I went to school with both of the girls and they do absolutely beautiful work. Everyone else is $40 for makeup and $40 for hair. ETA they are coming to us and I'm paying for their meal (if they choose to stay) as well as tipping probably $10 each.

$50 for makeup with lashes and probably the same for hair (depends on the style). I did a trial with airbrush and I hated it... I feel like it showcased my flaws. I won't be going that route.

Mine is $200 (hair/makeup + travel expenses). They require at least 3 of each service (hair, makeup). It's $75 for each.
