I definitely agree!! I went to so many, I definitely had to consolidate!!! I would book 3-4 appointments in the same day!! Really, if you're planning on seeing a bunch, you have too!! It definitely did help to compare side by side as well!!
We toured only 1 venue and booked it immediately afterward. We did a lot of research beforehand and fell in love with the venue we ended up choosing even before seeing it in person. We just knew that it was the one for us!
I looked at a lot online, but only scheduled one tour. While at that one, we hated it. The planner there actually suggested a different venue, so we showed up and were given a tour on the spot and loved it!
We booked the first one we saw the day after we saw it haha. But my friends who were married in the same venue visited 8-10 before they decided. Everyone is different. Places do start book up, so definitely make sure your touring your favorites as soon as you are able, and maybe be date flexible if you can. But don't feel rushed, you have to be comfortable and happy with one before you commit to it. I went to that friends wedding at the venue last year AND we ended up getting a tasting on our tour since a couple people no-showed to their tasting. Otherwise I think I would have visited more venues before booking.
We were a bit scattered with our planning because we changed dates. We booked our first choice venue right away (our church for both ceremony and reception) with a November date but had toured one other place to get a variety.
When we changed the dates we ended up looking at 2 other venues besides the one we booked because our church was not calling us back. Ended up booking the 3rd place we looked at for reception but kept our ceremony at the church. So 4 all together.
I went to about 4 but I had to save the best for last. I took my FH while there was a wedding there since you can view by walking through the marina. It made it so much easier to fall in love with it.
We only toured one venue and booked it! I reached out to about 60 venues beforehand, though, and knew before even going to tour my venue that I thought it was the one. I love it!
I think we looked at four or five before finding the ONE, and we knew within the first five minutes. We're both in love with it. Can't wait for the 21st!!!

Love it! My venue was the first one we went to and It came with the ceremony reception cocktail hour food decorations (besides centerpieces) all I had to do is book a DJ. The wedding coordinator at the venue actually helped us get a DJ for 6 hours for a quarter of the price. He was originally charging 5k with the uplighting too.
We only toured one. I email a LOT of venues and looked at pictures online. The one we chose we had seen a wedding at when we were boating on the lake. It was love at first sight!
Only veiwed 2... The ones that I have been reaching for months on Yelp,Google and on here as well.

I would have booked the 1st venue we looked at, but they had hidden fees despite my asking if there were any surprises. And, then they gave me an ultimatum on excluding things to make up the difference. They asked me to let them know what I decide. So, I booked a tour with our 2nd and current venue and got a 10x better deal and venue. I told the 1st venue that I decided to go with another venue.
